Ot- the West has 11 teams over .500 (East has 5)

I still think the East has the 2 best teams, but overall the West has way more solid teams. The Clippers who have the 12th spot have a better record then the 8th seed in the East.

It's been like that for a while, the West is deeper with a lot of pretty good teams, but only 1 great team; the East is a lot more top heavy and has more great teams. All adds up to a cakewalk for the Lakers, just like the 80s.

2009 the top 7 picks
2008 3 out of the top 5
2007 3 out of the top 5 (1 and 2)

Just when I thought the balance is starting to shift they get the top picks in the drafts.

wow, I didn't realize they got so many of the high picks. Part of me wishes there was more balance to the league, but the other part loves seeing the disparity because my teams in the East.
