So some of these rumors, especially the Hinrich ones basically involve trading away Ray so that we can get a backup for Ray??

Hinrich would be great; at this point throw in a pick or maybe Glen Davis...but trading Ray for him is pointless. And I don't know that we should give in to the lowball king John Paxson. Hinrich is a good backup, really average starter, and has a huge salary; Chicago should be happy to dump him for cap room. And Ray frankly doesn't help them much more than Scal/TA; an expiring's an expiring.

At this point a deal for a Jason Richardson would probably be good. We could try throwing the MLE at Ray next year as well. But all these Hinrich, Nate Robinson types are backups, and we can't trade Ray for just that.
