Chances Pierce or Garnett skip ASG?
Do you guys know if there leaning toward skipping due to their injuries? Much appreciated!
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Pierce is definitely doing the 3 point contest so I would think he is going to play in the game too. Garnett I don't know but he's been looking better lately so maybe? Which one of your players are you hoping will take their spots?

I really wish they'd both skip. Why waste energy and why chance further injuries during a stupid exhibition game?

I would hope Bosh would get the staring nod over Garnett and Smith replace him, or if Pierce didnt go Smith could replace him. Id just would love to see him in there. Pierce deserve to be in there, im not so sure on Garnett.

I'm sure they'll both play and I don't see the problem. It's not intense, nor will he be playing many minutes anyway.
To add, he can hurt himself at home ... seriously ... at some point he needs to be out there, and like I said it's low intensity and low impact. He and Pierce will be fine.

I will rather enjoy watching C's at the all-star game. You will end up disappointed in life if you pin too many hopes on your local teams just winning championships. You have to enjoy the journey..IMHO.

I see no reason why Pierce won't... He's in the three-point contest. Besides, Pierce enjoys playing basketball. That is, he won't bail out on his Boston fans (who would be watching the All-Star game in part to see him) due to a minor injury. If he's healthy enough to participate in the three-point contest, then he owes it to his fans and the head coaches that thought highly enough of him to choose him as a reserve.
It's all about your minutes in an exhibition game. I mean Garnett could start and end the game only playing fifteen minutes, and Bosh with thirty-two. I try not to bother with arguing about who should be starting and who shouldn't, or who deserves to be a reserve over another. Because Rondo deserves to be starting ahead of Iverson. What about that?
