I like it, but Washington can probably get more value for Butler

Like I said before. I will be VERY surprised if Danny pulls off two trades such as these. It will either be one, or the other. It's hard enough having to fit in 2 new guys into the system in 82 games, while coming off the bench. Imagine trying to fit 3 guys, (one into the starting line up as replacement to a big piece of our teams success) in less than 35 games. Way too drastic for this point of the season. Such moves will not be made. If we trade for DJ and Graham, that will be the only trade we make. We might sign one more player who gets bought out as insurance, if we have a spot left, but we won't trade anybody else. You can't just change players left and right, mess up your whole rotation and chemistry, and expect the results to come around asap. It's just too difficult, even if the players coming in are better than the ones leaving. IMO.

I heard a rumor on the Sports Hub this morning about a trade with Washington and Houston centering around Butler and Haywood for T-Mac's expiring contract. If we throw in a 2011 first round pick then we might be able to be players.

People overrate the hell out of Butler IMO. Dude only averages 16 a game, and is the main player on that team(Jamison has sucked balls lately). Ray Allen is having a **** season, is the 3rd-4th offensive option on our team and is still averaging the same amount of points as Butler is. But of course..the grass is always greener on the other side.

I think if Ainge pulls off the BBD for Augustin trade then he will keep Ray Allen and try to trade the expiring contracts of House, Scal and Giddens and possibly the 1st round pick for frontcourt depth. A player like Nick Collison comes to mind.

Supposedly Butler+Haywood can be had for expirings, so if we trade with WAS I would like those two back...

It's not a bad proposed trade ( I like Butler and the depth we get) but I agree with BRUNi--- too much overhaul at this point of the season. Maybe a Baby/DJ trade and then bench expirings for some additional depth and athleticism (Ty Thomas?).

I don't think Danny will pull the trade trigger on Ray Allen unless he's getting something very good in return. I like Caron Butler but is he a viable replacement for Ray? I mean they have totally different game. Butler has a very good tweener/slashing SG mentality .... kind of like Paul Pierce. He's an ok shooter but not a very good shooter.

Also if you trade Ray and you trade eddie in a seperate deal.....who's going to be shooting from outside? There needs to be a balance of and outside/inside game.....easier said than to get done but I agree that if Danny gets Augustine then Ray is staying. Although I would absolutely like a Tyrus Thomas type of player.....we need a fearless athletic forward. Someone who can match intensity like what Horford, Josh Smith and the other younger forwards who kill the C's with relentless hustle.
