Would be possible this trade...???

Post#1 » by galbilo73 » Thu Feb 11, 2010 6:42 pm

Ray Allen, Scal, Giddens and Walker from BOS ti CHI

Hinrich, Salmons, Tyrus Thomas from CHI to BOS

It works in the trade checker...and I think it would work also for our team:

Rondo / Hinrich
Salmons / T. Allen / House
PP / Daniels
KG / Thomas / BBD
Perk / Wallace / Williams

This is a balance team able to tackle playoff...don't you think?

I wouls also considering swap BBD / DJ Augustin, considering that T. Allen and House are expering next year. Augustin, Hinrich and House could cover the PG / SG backup rotation.

These two trades would leave us with a good team also next year:

Rondo / Augustin
Salmons / Hinrich
PP / Daniels (resigned)
KG / Thomas
Perk / Wallace

Would it be possible? Yes. Would it happen? No... Boston can get better than Hinrich and Salmons for Ray Allen. If that's the best offer they're given, I'd rather they didn't trade Ray Allen at all.

It doesn't even have to be that big of a trade we can trade Ray alone for those 3 players salary wise and need to send one packing to make a roster spot available.

It is a legit option it something they would have to consider if offered with the lack of talent we have on the roster. But I think we are all hoping for more.

The problem with not trading Ray or doing nothing at all is that we would essentially be going into rebuilding mode but have to essentially go on life support for two years first.

This kind of move give the team an injection of youth and scoring and a little bit of hope with Ty Thomas. Salmons is no Ray Allen but he can play and the bench becomes formidable with Hinrich/TA/Daniels/Thomas/Sheed assuming that is what it is left. You now have a bench that can score has some 3 pt shooting and all are plus defenders.

If we could get Augustine and Thomas and keep Ray the chances of winning this year are probably better, but the future is still pretty suspect.

No one's mentioned this before but it's another Ray idea. If Detroit can't move any of it's bad contracts by the deadline they may go for it. We send Ray / Scal / TA for Prince / Hamilton / Maxiell and Detroit's first. Detroit gets to just under 26 million in salary and still has Stuckey / Gordon / Villanueva to attract free agents. For us, we stay competitive now and get a chance to land a top 5 pick that should be no worse than 9th. Having a lottery pick on a veteran team would increase the sucess rate of the pick and there's plently of talent coming out this year. I would be happy if we did that deal and ended up with any of the following players: Wall / Favors / Ed Davis / Wesley Johnson / Evan Turner / DeMarcus Cousins / Xaiver Henry / Greg Monroe.

I'd rather keep Ray and package Scal_House _(name your dead weight) for Heinrich. Both can be taken off of the Bulls books in the summer.

P.S., this is my favorite thread title in a while.

Everyone has mentioned it before, the Ray for Rip and Prince deal has been beat to death around here.
