Davis, Giddens and Sheed go to Charlotte, as rumored -

Charlotte sends us Augustin/Graham - and Nazr Mohammed and Scal go to Indiana..

Troy Murphy goes from Indy to Boston.

Charlotte gets the players they want, Indy reduces their payroll a bit- we get an ideal back-up power forward, tread water talent-wise, but Murphy is younger than Sheed.. still leaves us with Ray's contract to shop around..

Why would Indiana do this? I thought they liked Murphy more than getting nothing in return.

Murphy and Augustin for Davis and Sheed? Sign me up. Indiana doesn't do this. They need to at least get a prospect back, that's what their asking price for Murphy's been (on an unrelated note: Why the hell has Cleveland been so reluctant to give up Hickson? Am I missing something with him?). They aren't going to give him up just to save $3M.
