To get Amare, the Suns want talent in return. I think the only talent we have that they would want is probably Perk. Maybe we send them Perk, Allen and Baby for Stoudamire and Barbosa and we throw in a 2011 1st rounder.

Does this deal really make sense? Probably not, but Allen alone is certainly not what the Suns are looking for.

I wouldn't want to trade Perk. He's the only player that has been consistent defensively. So I don't think Boston and Phoenix can make a trade together unless another team gets involved. Like Golden State who has an abundance of players at one position.

If Phx wants Perk, then they'll get Perk. Stoudemire is the type of talent that you can build around.

Perk is struggling lately, but he's so young there's no reason to dump him because of that. But still, he's going to be tough to re-sign, and Perk's perceived value has been high lately, he's on a cheap contract for a few years - honestly he's our best trade chip at the moment.

Even then though I don't know, it would be a tough decision. Perk is much better defensively, but Amare is much better offensively.

No, we aren't likely to make a run at Amare. How would he fit on this team? We're built around defense and it's pretty obvious he doesn't care to try defensively. If Sheed annoys you defensively, Amare will throw you into complete fits of rage. Our scheme won't help him either, he just flat out doesn't care, and at 27, he himself is a vet that's more likely to tune KG and Perk out. It'd require us dropping either KG's or Perk's role.
