Dude. This is **** GREAT. Heard the tone/style and was about to turn it off, but I kept it on and its fantastic. This is what the 80s should have been like for metal. Man, why do good metal bands have the worst album art though? So bad, its almost good haha.

Feel like I need to hit you back with some heavy stuff, lol.

It's all just rock and roll, in its many permutations and offshoots. I like Swedish death metal because it is melodic.

One of my fav bands, got VIP tickets for August. Get to meet them and BTBAM. Not sure if you're a fan of harsh vocals or not but BTBAM are like the Beatles of metal.

Just found Karl Blau, so eerie the resemblance to Arthur Russell, the avant garde cellist/singer/songwriter. Both of them brilliant lo-fi weirdos.

Then there's this, which I love because it both lacks all self-consciousness and also is the height of self-consciousness. It's so hard to occupy contradictory states.

Lol. I'm in the same boat. Having 2 small kids makes getting out to the movies almost impossible. Here's a tip though - my gf and I try to watch movies at IMAX 3D screenings since you can choose your seats online. It helps minimize our time away from the kids since we don't have to get to the theater early to find good seats. If a movie starts at 7, we usually get to the theater at 6:50, giving us just enough time to get popcorn.

I saw Mad Max yesterday afternoon too. Great movie! Really hoping there's a sequel.

Ha, we are really tracking along the same path. We saw the 5:00 PM showing yesterday, got back in time to put everyone in bed.

Funny I saw the original one when I was a kid but couldn't remember any specifics of the plot, just certain scenes. But since there was a sequel to the original, I seriously thought the movie was ending (setting up a sequel) at the sort of big transition scene towards the end. I was like "good movie, I'll definitely see the second one."

It's actually going to go to production shorlty. Tom Hardy had signed on for three movies, but the contract was contingent upon the first film's success. After opening weekend, the sequel got the green light...

As for the kids...I actually prefer the movies alone...lol No kids, no wife asking questions. I found 2 movie theaters with EARLY morning matinees. I'll go on a weekend and be home just in time to pick up my wife and daughter for a day with the family. Win..Win

Cool hopefully they are close as good as the first. And there were definitely no kids at Mad Max, just to be clear (our crew is 2 and under).

Though we did see a late night showing Gone Girl when it was out and a couple behind us had two little girls there, one was young as maybe four years old. So terrible and awkward to watch that like that.

LOL...I was actually referring to other peoples kids. Not my little one. Haha. Only movies I've taken her to were Frozen, SpongeBob and Home. Looking forward to Inside Out.

Yeah...Gone girl was excellent, but kids :o I remember taking my wife to see Ted after I had seen it and a woman walks in with 3 kids under 6. I actually said out loud..."this isn't Yogi Bear you know?"

LOL! My buddy took his 6 year old son, not knowing that it was a dirty movie. He had to walk out shortly after the cussing started. People were giggling as he shamefully walked out.

LOLOL...That's different. I mean, these kids were there for Ted talking about doing ungodly things with parsnips. It was so uncomfortable. At least your buddy walked out.

Movie was funny as hell though...

I love In Flames. My two favorites are probably Self vs. Self (with Pendulum) and Dead End (with Lisa Miskovsky). I have this thing for female vocals whether it's in EDM or metal. Miskovsky did the Mirror's Edge theme song though and if you guys haven't played that game I strongly suggest it. It's such a great game and it's really hard to find a comparison.

I love me some Dinosaur Jr.! J Mascis latest solo album (Tied to a Star) is top notch. It's acoustic, though.

Music- They can a bit uneven from track to track, but Cold War Kids have an interesting sound.

Film - Came out last year about this time to little fanfare due distribution issues Snowpiercer is incredible. If you liked Mad Max check this one out.

Books - Y, the last man, was a fantastic comic book series buy the collected graphic novels.

Currently, Saga, is killing the game with a family story unfolding throughout a vast Space Opera. The art is incredibly vivid and super trippy. If you've ever imagined Star Wars on acid then you can get close to envisioning Saga.

Snowpiercer was very well done. Some dynamite scenes in a few of those storage cars. Same director directed the movie 15th had me watch as well as a gem by the name of "Mother".
