Ignoring the cost, is there a non-zero chance Presti deals him this year?

I think if we could guarantee BRK pick to be #1 this year and next plus anyone on this roster the chances are probably zero percent. Russ seems inclined to stay for the next few seasons to try and win before building his brand in LA with the Lakers.

I listened and it was a weird line to take away. Ainge said that Horford and Kelly spread the floor for IT and it's a huge reason for his good season.

"You can't just put a rebounder that can't shoot out on the court because it might provide a little bit of help on the rebounding."

"We'd like rebounding and we'd like rim protection, but at the same time we do like skilled bigs to play around our guards."

Good. Not sure who's out there though. Dallas has been surging and may keep Bogut, Philly seems to have chosen Noel over Okafor and were not looking to add long term salary. Taj Gibson maybe although not sure what Chicago wants for him. WCS from the kings maybe?

And I get his point but we still play Amir Johnson. It shouldn't be that difficult to upgrade from Amir really

Do you guys not own your 2017 first? I would think they'd want a sooner return than 2019

It would be difficult. Amir's been in the top 40 of RPM 3 of the past 4 years(84th in his last year in Toronto when they thought he might be done). Him and Cody Zeller are the Final Bosses of being the No Stats All Stars. Can't just accidentally look elite on these adjusted plus-minus lists for like 6 straight years.

Move Zeller for anything. This waste should not be on this team at the deadline. He provides absolutely nothing

Nope, pick swap with the nets.

Gotcha year then either a 2018 1st or 2019 first. The Bulls may even settle for taking a Terry Rozier over a 1st too.

Celtics aren't going to part with Rozier for a rental which Taj is sure to be. I could see them moving that clipper first or the Minnesota second this year which should be top 40 though

That's why I'm just fine with bringing in a situational big (whatever Zeller's role is right now) that won't necessarily mess up the Horf/KO/Amir/JJ big rotation. Unmasked man Jerebko is valuable for his shooting and switchiness as we've seen from last season's playoffs. Foul trouble, injuries, whenever Amir's real age is showing, when we're getting pounded on the glass, matchup-dependent, etc. you have a break-in-case-of-emergency guy (Zeller and Mickey both suck at it).

He's still valuable for his non-guaranteed contract. I don't see Ainge giving him up for "anything."

Bulls aren't taking a 2nd for Taj even if he's a rental. Though he is better look at what Ibaka got who was a rental. He netted a 1st and Ross... Just from what I heard was the Bulls want a 1st or rookie contract guy(s) for Taj.

Let them drool.

I'd absolutely move him in a Cousins deal

I wouldn't. For one, This guy isn't even gonna play in every game down the stretch because he already eclipsed the Technical Foul limit. Every other T from here on out is a 1 game suspension and I'm sorry, just because he's in Boston doesn't mean he's gonna change who he is. It didn't change Sullinger, here...or in Toronto for that matter. It took me a while to see this but some people just are who they are.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

yeah man. It's really, really weird. If he were 6'2 these same people would think he's the best player in the league.

29.9ppg 6.3apg on terrific shooting percentages... just think about that for a moment. He is hitting his prime years and will most likely have 3-4 seasons like this.. If he gets more help ala Paul George or whoever else it may dip down 24-25ppg which is still incredible. 2X all-star now. should have been an All-Star starter. Top 3 or 4 MVP candidate in the league... And the Celtics are getting better and better and better DESPITE INJURIES!!! O, and his 4th quarter heroics.

It blows my mind that people on this board are still not on the IT train. Craziness. you people are OVERTHINKING it. It's plain as day how special IT is.
