No she isn’t wrong. It all depends on the type of players you have. Have a me me me Bron Bron? He ain’t gonna listen to Red if he came back so what’s the use? On the other hand, if you have players that sit on the figurative floor listening to the coach and doing exactly what he says to do, then the better the coach is how much better the team will be.

With the players that Danny drafted/signed having Stevens is paramount. Pop is the same way. I’ll take that approach over the other.

Ask yourself this question. How many titles would Bron Bron have if he were drafted by Danny, coached by Brad and wasn’t me me me? Bet it’s more than he has now.

It certainly isn’t as important as it is in the NFL. Great coaching helps no doubt but if you’re loaded with talent you don’t necessarily need it. You can’t really win in the NFL with a bad coach, certainly couldn’t have a Ty Lue situation. But no doubt great coaching would have helped LeBron if he were willing to allow it.
