One of the reasons we won despite not shooting well from 3.

Tatum averaged 19.2, Brown 17.6 drives per game in the Finals. They were at 9.1 and 10.1 drives per game in the RS.

They've been able to work it out over the seasons to complement each other on both ends fairly well. Both can impact the game offensively in devastating ways, and both display very good defensive skills as well. While Tatum is the better all around player, certainly the better passer and rebounder, Jaylen has emerged as the more "clutch" performer, certainly in this playoff season for sure. If there were a past comparison of a championship level two-way guard/forward duo based on what we've been seeing, I'd lean towards a Wade/Lebron type of thing, where one is clearly better all-around than the other overall (Lebron), but the other (Wade) had more of that killer mentality when the games were tight. And I'll also add that Brown/Tatum are NOT better than Wade/James individually, but their situations are pretty comparable in how they had to blend together to make it work.

I think they are now like what KG/PP could have been if only those two joined forces 5 years earlier than they did.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

No idea why but the first thing that came to mind after reading the Title of this thread was Abbott & Costello.

Or sticking to comedy, Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David.

Probably the most accurate of all the previous Celtic duos. Won 6 NBA Championships together.
Sam Jones had 10 overall, Havlicek 8 overall.

I thought Page favored the Gibson Les Paul Standard (1959) and Telecaster (Steve Winwood and Keith Richards also favored the Tele).

Now, Page's childhood pal (Jeff Beck) from Age 15 was the Master of the Stratocaster.

AND I JUST REALIZED that YOU MEANT JIMI HENDRIX. My bad.

In general I thoroughly support them doing it less in the RS given the physical exertion required.

Some posters didn't like Jaylen from the start. In 2018 he has been has good as JT in that playoff run but despite that some people couldn't stand the guy.
A lot of posts didn't age well.

Random Stat: Since 2021-22, of the top 25 players in 3-point makes (incl. playoffs), Tatum (2nd most makes) and Brown (14th most makes) are 23rd and 24th in 3FG%. Only Jordan Poole has shot worse from 3 from the list. White also made the list -- 15th in makes, 14th in 3FG%.

Pierce & Garnett, is the closest that I can get. Most of the other Winners were more of Solo Artists.
