Eh I don't know about that. He requested a trade, not demanded. It may be semantics but it feels different to me. Unless he is 100% dead set on LA (which that news has not come out), then it gives us enough time to put Kyrie in his ear to just wait until the season is over.
It’s illegal/fine-able to demand a trade. It is not illegal to request a trade.
Jimmy Butler requested a trade too, FWIW— it all means the same thing.

I love the Celts but the league itself has turned into a joke. Between things like this, the way the game is officiated, style of play and 1/4 of the teams tanking I get why ratings are down. I I don’t know one person I’d classify as an NBA fan. Celtics, Knicks and even a couple Nets fans but not one person who says something like “gotta tune into that Rockets game tonight. Harden’s going off lately.”

Absolutely. Boston has everything over LA from an easier path to the finals to more talent and more picks. By declaring the intention to bolt now Rich Paul and AD have admitted its LA or bust. Should have traded for Kwahi...
