Shame. Had the best hair on the team. I think his shooting slump to start the year is getting to him. Seems like Edwards is searching for answers

Maybe he can see the basket now. His 22FG% and 15%3-PTFG are abysmal. I think Javonte should see the floor over him, and he needs reps in Maine to get his shot back.

Hard to argue. Dude was lights out in SL and preseason but can’t buy a bucket now. Open looks too. Think he’s just pressing some and maybe the G league would do him some good.

I actually think he'll look more serious and maybe get a few more calls with it cut. Was glad to see them go on Smart, who I think now has the best look he's had since he came into the league.

It's 22 shots. You can't send someone to Maine over 22 shots.

It's not just the shots not falling. He's not giving us anything out there. Give his minutes to Green, and let Edwards get up to speed with a lot of G league minutes.

I hope we blow out the Cavs in our next game, so Romeo can see some garbage time minutes. I really want to see our top pick this year get some action.

Would you say this if Edwards were like 9/22 instead of 5/22?

Nope, as his other stats aren't good, either. I also don't like his body language on the bench. He claps a little, but I've seen him on the bench when big plays are made and he's emotionless at times. Almost looks like he might be peeved that he's not getting minutes. Give him minutes, just in Maine.

But scoring has to be a factor, too. How many other 5'11" guards are getting minutes in the league who aren't scoring?

That Red Claws team should be amazing to watch. I"m watching for sure. Romeo needs this, not as much as Tacko. Waters doesn't need it at all, he's ready, just a stash player for later.

So Langford, a lottery pick is assigned to the red claws without getting a chance, but edwards, a second round, is allowed to play like trash and stay with the team.
This is ridiculous.

What has Romeo done so far to deserve playing time, other than being drafted higher?

There's no downside to this at all, I see little benefit in throwing him into the fire... Get some personal wins with the Red Claws and build from there.

Langford hadn't the chance to play and prove it unlike edwards.

Well, that's what practices are for, right? My guess is that he's not even playing that well in practice to warrant a roster spot over Green, who has played a whopping 1.4 mpg this season.

Yeah, would be nice if our insiders chime in on this one. We just don't know enough what goes on behind the scenes (in the locker room or practices) to make an informed judgment regarding Langford. We do know his constant injuries have set him back (compared to the other rookies) in terms of learning the team's schemes. But even during post-draft, it appeared from many user comments that Grant Williams and Carson Edwards had qualities that are more NBA-ready compared to art thou Romeo, who is more of a project wing.

Both of you are offbase, IMHO.

Green can't be sent to the Red Claws. So he's the de facto 3rd string wing no matter how well he's playing.

Carsen has only Wanamaker in the mix with him for minutes as the bench guard, pseudo PG next to Smart. Guarding PGs is the main function of that role and Carsen is better suited for that than Romeo.

Romeo has 6th man Smart, whichever of Jaylen/Gordo stays with the bench from the starting group and Semi ahead of him as bench wings.

There aren't any minutes there right now.

Or, more realistically, Smart is going to miss 10+ games for wear and tear and Brad will need another ball-handling guard for the 2nd unit and they'll call up Romeo for spot minutes.
