And it's wasn't really a KG thing where he obviously could score more but shot less for the good of the team. GH just never really put it all together for us after injury. I remember once or twice where he'd have 2 or 3 games of 20+ points in a row and ya think, hey maybe he's gonna turn it on now. But it never happened.

I guess you took a break from the Celtics in 2019-2020? Hayward was a tremendously efficient player in his last year (50.0%/38.3%/85.5%). It's not all about the points, Hayward did a little bit of everything. His presence on the floor made this team much better, almost every time. If you expected his impact to be only measured by points, then you probably forgot that he was the 4th option—yet he managed to average 17.5 ppg. What did you expect, four 26ppg scorers?

The experiment didn't work because of his injuries. Came off the bench when he was asked to, never pouted (despite some comments to that effect on this forum), and that was it. Was the price tag justified? Probably not. But he didn't do anything wrong.

Don't forget the trillion back door cuts only to be completely missed By Kemba and Jaylen as they pounded the ball until there was 3 seconds left on the shot clock. ..
Hayward plays winning basketball period... he's got court vision unlike 2 of the players he was playing behind.

To Gordon Hayward,

I would like to take this time to thank you for absolutely nothing.
