The Bucks are relatively thin @ PG and are less than a year removed from trading Tobias Harris for a rental of JJ Redick. Perhaps they have interest in Jordan Crawford? Would we go after Giannis or John Henson or ?

Hmmm maybe Boston ends up with MKG and Biyombo, with Asik going to Char???

I still think priority should be getting rid of Lee and Wallace.

With Stoudemire being only option for Wallace trade, I was waiting for Amare to go down, it look now his knees again are sweeling, sooner than later this was expected...

Al Iannazzone ✔ @Al_Iannazzone
Woodson said Amar'e's knee has swelled up. He won't play tomorrow and Woodson said he could be "out a while."

I still think Wallace+Humphries for Amare is a good and only option to get rid of Wallace and get 2015 expiring contract.

Wallace, Lee, Bogans for Amare would be a dream case scenario.

Maybe we could do a 3 way with Toronto

TOR Bogans, Hardaway
BOS Amare
NY Wallace, Lee, Lowry

Biyombo is garbage. No thanks.

As far as MKG goes. He's still young enough and talented enough to take a flyer on. But it has to be a good deal. He was really impressive during his freshman year at Kentucky. He and Davis were the guys. But so far in the NBA he's been far from impressive. Maybe a change of scenery and health is all he needs. Could be a great pick up

Advanced stats suggest otherwise, and he's just 21.

Chris Sheridan..

CHARLOTTE BOBCATS - They are one of the few teams with an expendable backup center in draft bust Bismack Biyombo. They would have to throw in a better-than-serviceable second player to even get Morey to return their calls, but since they are on our source’s list, they probably have already done so.

One thing Michael Jordan will not do is sacrifice another of his own future first-round picks. The ‘Cats already owe one to the Bulls from the ill-fated Tyrus Thomas trade, although they will keep it in 2014 if it falls in the top 10 (the protection drops to top 8 in 2015 and unprotected in 2016).

But Charlotte also owns the right to Portland’s 2014 pick and Detroit’s 2014 pick, and it’s fair to say Morey would only do a deal if the Pistons pick was put into play.

CHAROTTE BOBCATS SALARY CAP SITUATION AND ANALYSIS

So if we start with Biyombo and a No. 1, what else would it take? How about Michael Kidd-Gilchrist?

Sam Amick@sam_amick

FYI re: Rajon Rondo rumor, Celtics & Kings have had no talks about him or any other player, I'm told by both sides. Nothing to see here...

Forget about Asik. Grizzlies won't likely make the playoffs. Time to clear house. Let's all welcome Gasol to Beantown!

Humphries, Crawford, Brooks, first(s) for Gasol + filler

Clearly, I suck at this lol.

Now that MKG is on the table, as I predicted, I want to point out the prescient logic of the trade in the post at the start of the thread- Rondo, Wallace to CHA for MKG, Walker, Gordon's expiring, maybe a pick.. Walker, by the way, is a player I'm high on and I think his percentages can go up a ton with more help and better coaching (i.e. he's more Monta Ellis than Brandon Jennings).

Deadline deal, maybe, if there's nothing better for Bass and we're still up against the luxury tax.

Donny Marshall (YES, DONNY EFFING MARSHALL) was on TV/internet/whatever and said that the Celtics are working on a "huge deal" sending Rajon Rondo out west to Sac. He mentioned that his sources said the deal is going to happen.

If Donny Marshall breaks NBA trades, I will stop following the NBA forever. This guy is just such a clown.

MKG, Biyombo to Boston
Asik & Lin to Char
Green & Lee to Houst

Might have to add a few minor players, and yeah Boston's low on shooters, but might make more sense if Ben McLemore ends up in Boston...

Celtics already have an elite pg, and MKG & Biyombo are younger, with lots of potential, especially MKG...

How does this look for a C's rebuild?

-Celtics In: Mia '14 1st Rd Pick, J. Anthony
-Heat In: J. Crawford

-Celtics In: 76ers '14 1st Rd, Pelicans '14 Prot 1st Rd, Houston '14 1st Rd, J. Richardson
-76ers In: Rondo, Lee, Asik, Celtics Trade Exception
-Rockets In: Turner, Bass, 76ers '14 2nd Rd (Nets), Celtics '15 2nd Rd

Rondo / Carter-Williams / Young / Noel / Asik or Hawes = A real solid lineup!

-Boston In: Schroeder
-Atlanta In: Humphries, Brooklyn/Atl '14 1st Rd

Schroeder / Bradley / Green / Sullinger / Olynyk .. Plus 5 '14 1st Rd's. The rebuild would look pretty sweet.

I think that Rondo deal would definitely help each team a ton. 76ers become a serious threat next year, and the Rockets boost their chances of being a championship contender right now.

You guys value Rondo way too high.

That rondo to Sac deal was just a fake rumor that spread wildfire by hippy boston fans.

This Boston Herald article by Steve Bulpett makes the most sense to me among all the trade-related rumblings out there.

http://bostonherald.com/sports/celtics_ ... es_for_now

"The Celtics are not trying to tweak their roster for a deep playoff run, as has been the case in recent years. They are under no pressure to make a key move and get a new player in tune with their rotation. Ainge can wait to see how the market is shaking out, knowing it’s highly likely he’ll be in a better position to deal when teams grow more nervous as the shopping days dwindle."

"What is known at this point is that, as has been reported here for a while, the Celtics are very much interested in making one or more deals that would take them further away from the luxury tax line and, thus, preserve and grow their flexibility as they continue their rebuilding efforts."

"The fact that he isn’t facing the shrinking window of opportunity he has in recent years gives him the luxury of patience. Which appears to be what Ainge is exercising now."

Danny's will be done. In Brad we trust.
