Still a chance it could happen.

Patriots must win at Steelers, home vs Jets, Bills

Chiefs losing next Week @Seahawks

Chargers has 2 tough games vs Ravens and @Broncos, both fighting for PO spots

All of Patriots,Chiefs,Chargers could tie with a 12-4 record.

Chiefs win their division with better division record than the Chargers. Patriots get #1 seed with the head to head over the Chiefs.

Why Patriots may actually want no 2 seed

Interesting take, to summarize one of the writers' ideas.

If the Chargers won their division and the 1 seed in the AFC, in addition the Rams hosted the NFC championship in LA.

* Most LA fans would go to the LA Coliseum and not the Stubhub center.

* Even if Stubhub was packed it only seats 27000 so its not like walking into Lambeau Field or Mile High.

Is this the worst defensive unit the Pats have had in the last 10 years? I feel like it is. These guys can't stop anybody.
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!

This team is either done or just coasting.

I still think we finish tied with Houston at 11-5 but get a bye in the playoffs. Their schedule is harder.

Hope the Chargers win their division and gets the #1 seed. Then play KC and lose in the divisional so we can face KC at home in the AFC CG. Thats about the best case scenario out there. Second best would be to play on the road (ugh) against the Chargers in the AFC CG in front of only 27000 fans, not the most terrifying places to play.

I’m really happy for the Steelers, I really am. Almost feels like a rivalry now, maybe they’ll beat us one more time over the next decade.

I was ok with the loss to the Steelers because I'm not worried one bit about Houston, if we had to play them in the divisional round at Houston.
But I really want the Seahawks to beat the Chiefs and that the Chargers win out. Oh and Philly beating Houston. Because I think either Chargers in LA or Chiefs at Foxborough would be the best for the Patriots. We need the following to happen the next couple of weeks.

Week 16:

Patriots beat Bills at home
Philly beat Houston at home
Chargers beat Ravens at home
Seahawks beat Chiefs at home

Week 17:

Patriots beat Jets at home
Chargers beat Broncos at Denver
* Houston lose to Jags at home (if necessary)
* Chiefs lose to Raiders at home (if necessary)

And if it ends with these results, the Patriots could potentially play 4 games in a row at home (undefeated there). Bills, Jets, divisional and AFC championship game if the 5th seed (Chiefs) beat the Chargers in LA.

This 2018 team has been reminding me of the 2009 squad all season, but in a way they confuse me more than '09 did. This year's team has NO identity from week to week...2009 didn't either, but it feels more pronounced this season. The fact that they've beaten the Chiefs, Texans, Packers, and Bears but have lost to the Dolphins, Lions, and Titans, and Steelers is just crazy.

It's just been a weird year for the Pats starting with the Super Bowl.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

The problem isn't the team, it's Brady. He's seriously showing his age.
There's nothing about this Patriots team that a healthy Jimmy Garappolo wouldn't cure.

Brady has been pretty good, not great. But let's be real, he is not even close to the biggest issue. You should stick to looking for attention with just basketball.

6 of our starting front 7 are below average NFL players or significantly worse.

Our starting LBs are slow as all hell and the other teams O-Line block them way too easily. Our D-Line [save Flowers] is too poor, routinely losing contain on the edge and they cannot hold up long enough on the double team to prevent a lineman from escaping free to the second level. This is causing teams to routinely gash us for 5+ yards per run.

Our problem is that our front 7 is terrible. Gronk going from ‘GOAT’ level to ‘Probably should retire’ also really hurts us.

Brady going from ‘MVP’ level play to just ‘Very Good’ sucks, but is not the reason we’ve looked sub-par. At all.

He hates Tom Brady now as well as Kyrie Irving. I have seen it all.

Brady's errors to me lately look more mental not physical, which is uncharacteristic of him. He's one of the smartest QBs of all time though if not the smartest, he will get it back......

Offenses have been faltering a bit lately, Saints showing it too but they beat Carolina somehow.

Still a very high chance to get the second seed depending on Houston.....who does go to Philly this weekend and the Eagles need the win too.

So, we'll see........

The officiating was rigged against the Pats Sunday. Clear as day.

Brady has been pretty damn good...the problem is that he's having to do too much because the playmakers around him have been awful this year and his O line is inconsistent from one week to the next.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Why though? And sorry Darth I don't think Gordon is going to put up big fantasy numbers - this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Gordon doesn't put up even modest numbers. Y'all's playbook is notoriously hard to learn or so that's what the media says, and he's gonna take some time to get up to speed. However, even if he is used mainly as a decoy and opens the middle of the field up it's a win. If he keeps his **** together then coming into camp next year you have a stud wr for all of 19-20.

He’s not going to keep his **** together. The man shouldn’t be playing football at all. He needs serious professional help before he winds up dead.

I hope Gordon retires and figures his life out ASAP

Hes not going to play in the NFL again. Whether he likes it or not, he’s retired.
