I just saw the G league draft is taking place today. Maine's first pick is #9. They also have #21. The Westchester Knicks have both the first and second picks for some reason. There's a list of eligible players linked below. I know who Chandler Hutchison, Landry Shamet and Matt Ryan are. There are two guys named Jalen Johnson. Dennis Rodman's son is in there as well.

Update: The Knicks chose Ryan and Shamet #1 and #2. Maine drafted a point, Eric Gaines. That makes sense as Davison is the only point guard on the team.

Update: at #21 Maine selected London Johnson, a 6'3" guard from the G League Ignite.

Update: Late in the second round, Maine drafted Kavion Pippen, a 28 year old center.

Eric Gaines highlights:

Gaines is an absolutely electric athlete with special speed and leaping ability. Learning to harness this athleticism and develop his play-making skills will take his game to a new level.

It’s rare to see a 6-2 player attack the rim with such a vengeance and bring the hammer down on defenders the way Gaines does. He’s one of the more exciting players to watch in the country.

23, Crazy hops and long.
Funny commentary on his 20pt highlight tape. "He was 0 for 17 from deep...." :D
The only team that I can find that he worked out for was the Clippers.

Johnson has a good highlight tape. He's young and he's actually 6'7" with that fro :D

I see a Sam type development process with Johnson.

I like that he attacks the rim.

Interesting, so they have Rico on the pass go and collect $200 plan for his rookie year. 30th pick at age 24, gotta see what they have I guess.

Gotta have someone to carry their bags and go on late night beer/donut runs.

I didn't hear anything negative from the announcers, but then again I only understood when they said "Ignite" :D

So... Walsh wasn't listed in Maine's training camp roster last season but spent a ton of time there. I guess Scheierman could too.

If Tchewa can play, that's a huge G league team. Davison excels at throwing the lob.

Yeah, cause Walsh & Scheierman are officially on the Boston Roster.
The Two-Ways are technically in between.

I fully expect Scheierman to be in the Maine Training Camp; and possibly Walsh, and maybe even Springer.
Just for the Two-a-Days Practice.

I remember this guy a little bit, that’s an exciting add!! Makes up for not landing Craig Porter Jr last year.

So who starts? Davison/Peterson obviously, then I’d imagine Scrubb when he’s up to speed. Then Skapintsev at C maybe. Who’s the other starter there, Harper?

Would hope Watson starts given his age and that we spend draft capital on him.

Davison
Peterson
Scheierman on assignment
Walker if they can get him, if not maybe Watson. Another possibility is occasionally sending Walsh there.
Skapintsev
