The terrible teams this season are the Sixers, Pelicans and Heat. Nets are on the 2nd tier (4-8). This draft is deep so I'm not worried about our draft position It's not like last year that the draft had 2 elite prospects.

Talk about them netting 30-35 wins is crazy. I think the efforting thing only carries them so far. You got the injury factor and the real potential of Lopez being injured or traded, I think they are a bottom 5 team easy.

Miami's been much better than their record this year. Middle of the pack SRS and Net Rating(unfortunately BKN is in that spot as well right now). They might have incentive to look passable to FAs rather than a bottom 5, tanking dumpster fire but who knows? Orlando's been legitimately dreadful. Washington will be fine.

Miami may look to start tanking though, and is already rumored to be shopping Dragic: https://thegamedayreport.com/2016/11/15/report-heat-make-pg-goran-dragic-available-via-trade/

On the flip side, Winslow is having an unbelievably terrible year so far: 11.6 points on 14.1 shots per game, shooting 33% from the field and 21% from 3pt, fewer rebounds in 7+ more minutes per game than last year, etc. As much as I've said that I feel Winslow is overrated he's GOT to improve from those numbers pretty soon, so that should help them as well. I've watched them play and teams are leaving him wide open and daring him to shoot.

Dragic's comments after DWade left about how he "didn't sign up for this" made it pretty clear he's not going to be happy there. No doubt they'll shop him and probably end up trading him. That all but assures Miami's place as one of the teams at the bottom of the East.

Miami's draft situation may also be relevant to their choice of direction going forward. They own their upcoming 1st round pick this season, but they don't own next season's.

I feel like all the other bad teams have more talent than the Nets but the Nets have a well put together squad that has complimentary pieces and are well coached. It's going to be nail biting all season long.

Holiday is back for the Pelicans. Could really do with them finding some damn form and beating teams other than us.

The Heat and Pelicans are better than the Nets.

Dragic missed the last 3 games for the Heat and the Pels are without Jrue Holiday and Tyreke.

They both have more talent than the Nets.

A lot will depend on potential trades and injuries...nop, mia, sac all can be bottom 3 if?

Only Phoenix of the projected bad teams right now is under performing, they should be better based on their health and talent.

Remember when Philly started off well with MCW a few years ago? And then how hard they fell off once teams got better scouting reports on the team? I'm expecting something similar with Brooklyn. They're getting open threes from teams who aren't covering them-- that will change. Sure, they'll work hard, but they're probably the least talented team in a league where talent reigns supreme. Things will work themselves out shortly.

Yeah -- Some people are just disrespectful man. Yeah the 4-5 record is unrealistic. But ppl who think they're gonna loose 10-15 striaght Philyl style isn;t gonna happen.

This team is like a crappy version of us a couple years ago. They're not good, but they're scrappy, play hard & if they get hot (they will every once in a while) they'll win some games. Some nights they're gonna win based on effort.

I mean the pick is still gonna be a very good pick, but they're not the joke that we thought they were.

I mean tbh, if we didn't have the nets picks & i didn't have a reason for them to hope they suck, i'd be rooting for them. I like them. They play scrappy, they're ballsy, fast. Its just seems like there's such a relief now that there's no pressure to pretend to be good with a bunch of washed up vets.

Can anyone tell me why the hell Philly fired Hinkie? Seems like they're still tanking, and Silver's almight saviour, Bryan Colangelo, can't even pull off any trades to make them more competitive. His one bold move was offering Manu Ginobilli a ridiculous amount of money. Lol. What a Mickey Mouse operation.

But we aren't factoring in how Lin/Vasquez/Whitehead have been out for the Nets?

PR. Hinkie never understood that part of the job

Yup. The guy would hide from media and use poor Brett Brown to answer on his behalf, whether it was regarding the team's refusal to sign FAs who could potentially help them win games, or with Jahlil Okafor's behavoiur. I hope the Sixers do get their act together one day, and I hope Brett Brown is still around for that success. The guy deserves it.

The Nets are better without Lin. He disrupts their ball movement.
Vasquez was waived.
Whitehead is meaningless.

Dragic, Holiday, Tyreke are all better players than Lin.

Do you think the Nets with Lin are better than the Heat with Dragic or the Pels with Holiday and Tyreke?

Pelicans should start trending upwards. Davis only needs one guy like Holiday to start winning far more regularly.
