Re: Gordon Hayward Thread
He has a home in San Diego are you sure he doesn't want to opt out and come to LA with Lebron. Just kidding.
I'm hopeful he will improve as time goes on with his strength and confidence. Paul George is a top 10 player this year. I dont think Hayward gets there but if gets back to his ability we can have another really good team player.

Hopefully Hayward can get back to playing without hesitation. Either way, Celts roster are way too talented with or without him.

Re: Gordon Hayward Thread
Brad Stevens himself said, we need to do a better job of getting him involved and finding him on his cuts. He doesnt need confidence, he needs to be involved. The film supports that. Brown thrives in his minutes with Hayward as Hayward involved Brown. Last Night Brown involved Hayward and we saw how that worked. The more I watch body language, the more I want Morris and Tatum to go, and Brown to stay. We don't need ISO ball to thrive, we need selflessness.

Re: Gordon Hayward Thread
Gordon got Brown out of the baseline corner 3 spot. On one play Brown and Hayward made identical cuts through the key in the 4th. The cerebral part of Brown is developing, he is getting the ball in way better spots now. Not pinned down low in the land of the bigs with no options. Man its going to be a fun second half of the year.

Utah didn't want to give him Max.
If given more minutes and running offense through him, i'm sure he could score 16ppg. But his rebounding, assists, and poor defense, is close to where it was for his career.
Utah absolutely offered him the 5 year Max
Hayward took much less money to come to the C's

Anthony Davis doesn't want Boston, Kyrie might leave.. Durant didn't want us..even our very own Garnett didn't want us at first.
Just wanted to drop by and show my appreciation for Gordon Hayward choosing us in free agency. Granted he had his reasons, we should still value his decision. Biggest name we ever got and I hope he returns to form so we can learn to appreciate him and his game as a fan base.

Borderline? He was a top 20 player in the league in 2017 and was in his prime. Three different teams were offering him a max contract. I watched a lot of the Jazz and he was better than his numbers. He could have easily been putting up 25+ppg on the same efficiency that season if he was taking more shots.

Re: Gordon Hayward Thread
I can’t be the only one that got way too excited for that dunk
I definitely think Gordon’s progression will have a big say on whether Kyrie stays or goes.
I was getting worried that his explosion & speed weren’t going to come back, but from the previous couple of games I can definitely see some improvement. I know a lot of it has to do with the mental side of things for Hayward but I genuinely do believe he’ll look like ‘UtahHayward2016/17’ by the start of the next season.

IF it all goes to **** with Kyrie we will, unfortunately, continue to regret this catastrophic injury a **** lot. But I have no doubt his shooting will come back, and probably soon.

It's not like he hasn't put together good games, consistency is an issue and will be as long as he's playing alongside so many ball dominant players. His assist and rebound% are exactly the same as his last year in Utah, big difference is he had the ball in his hands a whole lot more. He should be handling the ball in that second unit.

Kyrie endorsed Smart as a teammate and look at Smart go now. Amazing how relaxed you can play when you know this is Kyries team and loves playing with you. Kyrie and Smart will be here.
The more I think about this...Hayward in the corner because Jaylen and Jason need stats. The better they are the higher their value becomes. As well, it keeps Gordon's value down making it more possible he stays as teams are concerned with his play. Playing it safe in every way means we get trade values up, while also giving teams no video of the playoff offense. This is glorious. They have planned all of this perfectly. No wonder Ainge is so calm. What a plan to maximize every player. Except maybe Rozier whose a FA, who may stay, if his value stays down. Ha.

Dude, he looked slow again today. He had no confidence is his ability to elevate. He didn't even try. He took one jumper. His body just didn't respond today.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
He sure is. Doesn't matter. He is playing to stay safe. What you do see is better cuts, better defense, and slow progression that ensures he fully heals. He's not getting out of the corner yet. Brown and Tatum still have lead. So he's speeding up into the All Star break. Probably has a goal of being full speed with a week to go. Everything teams are learning to stop will go out the window, matchups will be lost. If IT thought us anything, we should have not had him play so hard when he was hurt. We are protecting investments, as this is a business. We hear that all the time. Misdirection says AD doesnt wamt to go to Boston, but he does. IT was brought up because we can mend that fence at the deadline, get IT home. Show we learned to value health over scoring points. We played this perfect to avoid Tampering, and get everything we wanted. Heck might have even used good relationship with Popovich to get Leonard to Toronto to Take them down a notch to make the future even brighter. Pop advising the Pels how to proceed too. Won't be surprised if BOS, NYK, SAS, NOP and Dallas worked together to tip the scales in all of our favour. Weaken LAL benefits DAL and SAS Raps down fall helps Bos and NYK. Probably did start at allstar break. During deadline we all used Kawhi as asset evaluator. As soon as the NBA let Lebron run the show, it was time to out him for his rumors, crush his power and empower ourselves instead. I may be crazy, but wouldn't be surprised at all if we leaked the first of the info to start Lebron collusion. We also have a good relationship with the Suns who had a leak about Lonzo being traded there in a Rumour done Davis deal. Maybe ethics are going to come back to the NBA, we have all had enough of this rumor mill. No tampering just set us up perfect to let him run his mouth, while we conduct business as it should be done. If this is true, I'm proud to see this happening.

So it's really all one big conspiracy?

It's what you have to do. It's not a conspiracy. It's people conducting good business together. Why wouldn't they? Tell me what story line does not match this possibility. You may call it conspiracy, I call it putting together pieces of info we already know to be truth and bypassing all the rest. The NBA let's Bron do what he wants. How can you beat that without planning for it?

Re: Gordon Hayward Thread
If said it plenty of times in here, I don't care if Davis, Irving , Hayward and Horford leave. Life goes on. We have the depth no one has. With Pop helping Pels, wouldn't be shocked Davis ends up there either. No facts in anything I say, just keeping it positive for myself and I choose to find ways to explain the BS. Change my mind all the time. But I do keep it positive so the negative energy gets some damage control. Call me crazy, I like to make bold predictions for fun. Don't even need replies or engagement. I just like to paint pictures. Thanks for reading it. It was a long one.
