Yup just having his length inside on D and rim running on offense is all they need for now. Just let's them limit the worst of the bench big minutes and let him play himself into rhythm.

Rim run or camp at the 3pt line?

Well both for sure but just saying if he's just a rich man's Kornet for a spell until he gets his shooting touch in gear even that's a bonus for this team.

I hope they limit his foul-line post-ups for a little bit. It seems like the defender more often than not ends up with their feet in his landing space on those.

I hope they are not rushing him back. There's no point.

Kristaps Porzingis said there aren’t “any crazy limitations on him” minutes wise.

“Even tonight,” he said.

He said he is feeling pretty good and doesn’t expect many limitations moving forward.

driving a scooter with one leg instead going with a car driven by another person during the rehab? how the **** doctors and celtics allowed that? it's insane.

So it's a special thing in the rehab, not an standard electric scooter? I didn't never think that was a motorbike or anything like that.

Yeah but when healthy, I find crutches and car more safe.

The team is really good without Porzingas as evidenced by title last year, but it’s just way way more fun with him. Team is just next level this year if they stay healthy. Last year’s 8th man is NBA 6th man of the year contender and also getting solid contributions from 2 G-leaguers last year in Queta and Walsh who look like legit future NBA rotation talent.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

The Porzingis Conundrum is thus: They need him in matchups against certain Playoff Teams:
Cleveland, Indiana, perhaps Orlando, maybe the Knicks, definitely OKC, Denver, GS and the Lakers (
you probably don't want Al having to defend against AD) and who among us has any idea that
he will be healthy for the latter stages of the Playoffs and Finals?

I think that Porzingis should come off the Bench, and ramp up as long as needed.

Parl, apologies if I'm putting words in your mouth here, but this seems to suggest sending him out there before he's 'really ready.' I guess my question is why do that?

I guess I'm just really on board the 'slow return' train, which I assume to mean he scrimmages a lot in practices before stepping into a real game -- that's how he gets his conditioning and timing back, so then he's hopefully ready to start whenever they give him the green light to actually play.

I understand wanting to see this team at full strength, hopefully waxing the opposition like they did last year, but I want another title a lot more, so I'm fine with a January or later return for KP. He still might go down any time he's out there, but my mindset is to minimize the amount of time he's out there. While developing Queta and everyone else.

I might be wrong, maybe KP's back tonight against the Wiz, who knows?

I was wrong.
My revised guess is they feel like they already DID slow-play his return -- ie, could've played from the start of the season or close to it, and they already bought him extra rest time, and time to develop Queta etc.
So now we have the fully operational battle station. Might as well let it rip!

none among us
but let's see -- and hope
last season Queta wasn't an option in the playoffs
seems like this time he will be
so that's a bit of a win there
last season I guess Luke was hurt in the latter rounds of the playoffs
hopefully he won't be this time
but WITH KP is way better than without, I'm with you there

Pritchard | Hauser | Tatum | Queta | Porzingis bench lineup would KILL teams. KP can cover for Q's defensive miscues in the paint. And they can still have four shooters with Q being a vertical threat, taking care of offensive glass, and setting picks left and right.

KP won't come off the bench but above lineup is still a possibility. Make it happen, Joe! Can also replace PP with White for an even stronger defensive unit.

More of a mobility device. I don’t think he was rallying around downtown Boston with it.
