Should we be worried?

Re: Jaylen Brown Thread – Finals MVP, 2024
15 games into the season, 11 for JB.
Right now he's at 43% from the field on 20 shots per game, down from 50% on 18 shots per game last season.
29% from 3 on 7 attempts, down from 35% on 6 attempts last year.
At least his free throw conversion is up 7%.
Wake up Jaylen. Guess it'll happen at some point but he's often not in rythm, kinda absent.

His shooting is going to be good. Give him 10/15 games more.
And who cares about individual stats, we are winning 80% of our games.

The playoffs and finals is all that matters.
As long as the Cs are one of the top teams in the league, individual stats is not that important anymore.

What's the significance/history of the seatbelt gesture by JB? Anyone know? Did it in the Clippers game.

Just that he’s “strapped in”. He talked about it in his postgame. He’s just playing around with a new saying.

Okay thanks. Misinterpreted it as him telling folks to strap in and that they're in for a ride.

He was very vague and open to any interpretation, lol. Literally starts off saying "I'm not sure". Him strapping the seat belt on guys when he's playing D, him being strapped in in general. I think yours works too. ~6:52 here:
"I'm putting it on people. I'm putting it on myself. I'll put it on you if I got to. Everybody."

via Dick Lipe: Brown is one of just five players putting up 25+ ppg, 6+ rpg, and 4+ apg this season. Giannis, Luka, Jokic, and Tatum are the other four.

JB could've just donated that money to me so I could subscribe to BBall Index, StatHead, dunksandthrees, and all the stats sites/substacks.

Re: Jaylen Brown Thread – Finals MVP, 2024
We not tolerating that from nobody!
Basketball is a tremendously physical game. It has traditionally been dominated by big men. More recently we have seen LeBron… a 6-9 roided out super athlete who’s primary move was going straight through defenders. GSW also won a couple of titles, they were known primarily for their ability to shoot the ball but they also had a big man (Draymond) who was looking to fight pretty much the entire league.
Tatum … for all his strengths … does not physically impose his will on the opponent. When Giannis or Embiid start with the dirty, cheap BS (throwing elbows on drives, etc) …. Tatum is not getting up in their face and putting a stop to it. Our primary big (Horford) is also a finesse player and he is well past his athletic prime.
I give Jaylen a TON of credit for stepping up into this role. Not easy, takes a lot of courage and a ton of work in the weight room but it has given this team so much swag and confidence. Kudos JB.

Side note: we should trade for a guy like Stewart… or Stewart himself… so that we can save the wear and tear on Jaylen and let Jaylen focus more on honing his offensive skills.

There could be a site out there somewhere that paints him in a very good light. Without the funds, I wouldn't be able to know.

He’s going to see the stats then look at his 300m, ECMVP & FMVP, a chip (fat ring) and be just fine.

No doubt about that.
He wouldn't get where he is now if he let all his critics/haters get him down/affect him in a bad way.
