Yeah, I am a big fan of their stuff. Tabasi is impressive, they all are actually. Was pretty happy when I found out they were coming to Australia.

I'm trying to remember the name of the band but can't... if anyone knows it or has a thought please DM me or post here!

Stereolab? Portishead?

YES!!!!! Stereolab was what I was trying to think of. Thank you a million times, this was driving me crazy. FWIW I also like Portishead (paricularly Roseland live video/cd).

Who did they play with? Their style is so unique that its interesting to see who they tour with. I think they have toured witg bands like After the Burial etc. Not sure thats the right fit.

Last time they came to Australia I think they were supporting a band called Periphery (don't know them at all, my brother went to the show), this time they were playing their own tour and at least for the show I went to they played with a Sydney band I wasn't familiar with but was really impressed by called Plini. Djenty, instrumental sort of stuff but not as heavy as Animals as Leaders.

Slang Blade popped up on shuffle on my ipod yesterday actually, haven't listened to the album in a while. One Be Lo has some nice stuff on his solo records too.

Just an outstanding film. An awesome ending for that character. Exactly what you hoped an R-rated version of this character would look like.

I saw Logan last night. Great film. Way too long, 3 hours I think. Could've named it Longan. I loved how they finally humanize Logan n Charles n how it is after the life of being a rockstar. Cursing, drinking, mounting frustration. The fact that they just wanted it all to end, and acted the part, is what reeled me in cause last time I saw a solo X men film, I walked out on an admantium Samaria movie plot. It took some convincing by lots of people and reviews for me to see another one. Glad I did.

Agreed. Loved everything about it. After this and Deadpool, can we finally put to rest the question of if an R rated movie can make money?

To Fidel. I disagree on the length. I could have watched for another two hours.

Agreed. I know its n the same medium but do you think the success of the Netflix series and all they have done with their grittier approach to street heroes maybe softened the public up and got them ready for what we're seeing now with Deadpool and Logan?

To my Aussie friends out here, what is your opinion of Steve Smith? I think he is a fantastic player, but man, does he come off as an arrogant prick? I thought no one could top Ponting in that regard, but Smith keeps finding ways. And this is from someone who was a huge fan of the Baggy Green during the Steve Waugh period

Plini is the BOMB! I got his album 'handmade Cities' on Bandcamp. And boy its been on repeat when I drive. Can't believe it was all recorded in his bedroom. Just top notch stuff, and he is only in his 20s!
