The draft where Ainge took Jaylen was pretty ugly. I'm surprised you thought this was embarrassing though? Fandom is just another word for fanatical and the posters on this board fill that definition to a tee. It's the timing of everything on top of each other and just the tension building. Then watching the trades go down on Tuesday, nothing happens. The rumors are swirling and the Celtics are involved in every one of them. Then the draft comes and again the Celtics stand pat after all the rumors again. Finally, free agency hits and again rumors are swirling and they are extremely in depth. Gordon was a polarizing player here the entire time, it's no wonder when he signed and Ainge lost the opportunity to get something back it was a huge release - and not necessarily a positive one. Regardless, Celtics fans are among the most passionate of any fan base. I'm so bad it's gotten to the point where I DVR the games and can only really watch the wins - admittedly two young kids don't help but the point is the same. If you add a global pandemic on top of it I would have been surprised if there wasn't a meltdown of epic proportions. Good on you guys for keeping the faith, but cut some slack to the more reactionary members of the posters - me included.
You can say. You know I don't like this move and I am not sure how we can improve going forward. I hope more to come.

And now I don't mean you, but instead it's all fire danny. Fire brad. Sell everything. Dump Tatum. Tank for the top pick ..... And that's not hyperbole. That was all said in the last two trade threads just today.

Good God.

I wonder how hard we went after him. He would’ve been absolutely perfect for Brad’s system.

Refer to my earlier post.

Ibaka’s choices of getting paid the same amount and being in Boston or LA....

You go LA 10/10 times. Which is fine because we got TT.

I'm sure we did. But he wanted a contender. We aren't there yet.

Very good point about the pandemic, and frankly that hasn't been the only thing keeping people on their nerves lately. But yes, I thought today was embarrassing. Ninety percent of those putting on today's show are the same people who ruin the game threads with 'this game is over' when the C's are losing by single digits and there's still 18 minutes to go. So this was no surprise and yet the level of the commentary was unbearable to me. I wanted to chat with my Celtics brethren but the noise was too much. I'm glad that the latest news has quieted things down.

Welcome back, by the way.

I’m sure his old teammate Kawhi pushed for him hard too after they lost Harrell.

If we are taking Bogs, then we should be starting him from the start, because that’s why he is leaving Sac, that guy wants to start and a bigger role. What happens to Smart and Kemba to close out games? One of kemba, bogs and smart should sit to close out games for sure.

All of that is fair, but when your (not you specifically) form of blowing off steam is to get personal ("Ainge ball washers", "delusional pink hats", on and on and on), you aren't immune from the consequences of your words.

Posters went off the deep end tonight. It got bad. The clapping back is justified.

Posters that were feeling pessimistic but didn't get dirty and personal about it, obviously no hard feelings.

Gasol is cooked.

He was like an honorary sixth Celtics player in the playoffs. I couldn’t believe Nurse kept him out there so much.

Yeah it really makes you think. So the majority of the board wants to fire Ainge. Every summer. How can ya really take their opinions on anything seriously? Seems like there are a handful of reasonable people here.

I'm fine with the Thompson signing. Not gonna quibble over the 2nd year if it's guaranteed (we won't have significant cap space anyway even if we trade Kemba) or over the amount (it's a tradeable salary midseason if need be). He's better on defense than Kanter and won't need the ball in the post like Enes. Theis is better than him overall. Having options in our center rotation's good. Timelord getting limited minutes again, not so much. What I like most about having a big who can rebound like him is our wings don't have to expend much energy on fighting for the boards. This can possibly fuel our transition game with our guards and wings just running and not troubling themselves with the defensive glass so much.

I hate Teague as a player. Wanaamaker's better. On both ends. They're getting the same money, so maybe Brad just wanted a different city and opportunity.

He could definitely start here, end of close games clock managed with him on offense, Smart on defense.

TT gave 9 years of his life to Cleveland. Then, the first time he goes elsewhere, he comes to Boston.

Seems like he's more about the hard work than the glitz and glamour. I like it.

Wannamaker is probably better on offense but teague is far far superior at playmaking. Much higher assists. Last year when Hayward was out and kemba sat it was bad
