It's just killing ESPN that we are better than the Lakers, have been better than the Lakers and will continue to be better than the Lakers for years.

It's KILLING them.

Nah that’s bs speculation by a known Celtics hater in Amin. He was mad about Ainge saying that before when Ainge first said it even though Pippen found it funny, so now he’s speculating this could be a reason.

the NBA is a funny league. All that really matters is the one transcendent player.

If we would have drafted the Greek freak. we wouldn't be in this mess.

Lmao. What "mess?" We went to Game 7 of the ECF last year without Kyrie and Hayward and have gone 24-9 over our last 33 games with the best net rating in the league over that time and will probably end up playing the Warriors in a hard-fought finals.

Ainge has crapped all over the league so hard over the last decade that teams are now even hesitant to deal with the Celtics for fear of getting ripped off.

But yeah. What a "mess."

Celtics fans are amazing.

you are getting caught up in the word mess. the fact is we are still hunting for a transcendent Star . If we had one we wouldn't be getting smeared or have to worry about the rejections.

Rondo being present in this rumour actually makes this photo pretty actual.

1. AD gave a list to NO. BOS is not on the list.
2. He wants Lakers but he also names clippers, knicks and bucks. The first two are big markets with no assets for now and the 3rd one is a small market team who can't trade for him either because its entire starting five are expiring(not valuable) contracts.
3. Lakers will likely get him now by trading all of ball, rondo, kuzma, ingram, stephenson, beasley and 2 1sts.

Don't believe the hype.

Stop comparing this dude to KG. They are not the same. He wants to go to LA and LA only. KG wanted to go to a winner and by getting Ray Boston was appealing. If Boston isn’t already attractive, nothing is changing that.

How long did it take you to build this little world that you live in?

Garnett wanted nothing to do with Boston even after we got Ray. It took some last-minute convincing for him to actually okay the deal. But sure. Let's rewrite history to fit your narrative.

I have made it very clear that I do not want to sell the farm for Anthony Davis, so I am actually with you in that regard, but I am not going to use that to irrationally push a narrative just because of what I want.

From what I remembered it was the Allen deal that made him more amenable. Sure, it wasn’t hey they got Ray trade me right now but it was a major part. My point is, in my “little world” there is no Allen trade to make to convince AD. The team is what it is. Insofar as I know, KG wasn’t saying LA or whatever team not Boston or bust. There was no reports saying he didn’t have Boston on his list of teams he wouldn’t sign an extension with that I can recall.

I have no narrative. Anthony Davis has the narrative. He has been speaking loud and clear but nobody is listening or so it seems.

Yep, this is the "see I'm not only trying to get to LA or NY" list that effectively only gets him to LA or NY.

Essentially breaks down to , two Number 2 picks (Ball and Ingrem) plus Kusma a number 15 pick? and another two first rounders.
the fact that the picks were used and the players have been disappointing is the problem. The LAkers screwed themselves falling in love with BAll. (Thank you poor talent elevator MAgic)

that group of players won how many games last season? Its the best the LAKERS can do, but its far from a good deal. Are ANY of them even an all-star?

Who the **** would pass on Jayson Tatum for the lakers package? They would be smart to wait because that lakers deal would be there in the summer. Tatum is the real deal imo. I just want this to go past the deadline so it would be a big fu to the lakers. Whether we get him in the summer or not, I won’t be too pissed if he gets traded now. I just want Lebron and the lakers to rot this season without any bail of a star player to rescue Lebron.

Adam Silver should step in. I promise you Rich Paul is intentionally steering AD away from Boston because Kyrie is here. It would be a humiliation to Lebron because Kyrie would then undoubtedly lead us to a title.

There really needs to be a rewrite of tampering laws since we have now entering the era of player empowerment and leverage.

Rich Paul is a terrible agent. He has a chance to get his client to a historic organization and pair him up with one of the league's best closers, one of the best coaches in the league, and one of the best GMs in the league. But of course, the conflict of interest here is that Ainge insulted his Bff. Oh yeah, and the top closer on the team also happened to ruin Lebron's last year in Cleveland after he found out that they (Paul and Lebron) tried to ship his ass out to Cleveland so they could get another one of his clients (Bledsoe) to Cleveland.

This goes to show just how petty Lebron and Paul are if they are doing this because of their dislike for Ainge.

I can't wait until Thursday night when we play the Lakers. Kyrie is going for 40 that night while AD watches the game from home, as a member of the Pelicans.

I don’t think you can trade Tatum without some level of verbal commitment AD resigns. I think a deal would have have near done already if they didn’t want to hold out for the summer but offering Jaylen even seems risky knowing how badly he doesn’t want to be in Boston

jmr07019 wrote:If Pels are about to trade Davis would you trade Kyrie in a 3 team deal to get Davis to Boston?

My thinking is Kyrie could very well leave if Davis goes elsewhere. Sucks to lose Kyrie but we would be the best team in the east and I think we could convince Davis to stay. Smart - Brown - Tatum - Horford- Davis is godly defensively. Tatum I think would make the AS team next year given more shots and play making duties and would be the "2nd star" to Davis's MVP.

Not sure why this is assumed now.

Key word is could. With any move you make or don't make there are always going to be a range of possible outcomes. I'm not saying lets trade him for young players and picks. It's a better player on a longer deal who plays a position we're weak at.

Also, I'd like to add to my rant:

You know that girl in your high school - she's average looking at best, but she hangs out with a bunch of fat chicks as a way to stand out? That's what Paul is doing with AD's list of teams. It's an obvious ploy and it is laughable. What's even more hilarious is that some of you are actually falling for it.
