It's true the Celtic defense have trouble with offenses like this.

The constant movement versus the constant switching usually ends up with the offense having the upper hand.

No Hauser. Kinda weird.

I think they just decided to let him stay home and not make the trip. He;'s got a newborn baby at home. Some folks in the media commented how he made the trip all the way to Abu Dhabi, so that whole time he was away from his newborn baby.

Usually if a guy has a baby, they miss a game or 2. He has played in all the preseason games until tonight..

That's a nice gesture by the team. Except for the part where Hauser came with them on the trip. Or at least he boarded the plane.

Yeah, I stand corrected. Saw Hauser on the bench with the team during the game.

It must have just been a rest day for him. All of our regular rotation guys (except Pritchard) sat out at least 1 of the preseason games. Pretty sure that most guys around the league who are as proven as Hauser and have their role for this season as locked up as Hauser sat out at least 1 preseason game..

Joe better win 19 or i'm coming after him again..

By the way , I thought not having sam hauser caused our team to play too many double big lineups.. It definitely messed up the flow on offense and spacing in the lane.

Regardless jordan waltz should be in the regular season rotation every game.. If he plays well playing more if he doesn't play him less..

But by season's end it will pay off greatly.

Anytime prior to opening night.

Opening night is October 22. I think opening night rosters usually get set the day before opening night.

And I doubt they cut anyone tonight. So final cuts will probably happen between 10/16 and 10/21..

Yep. He's definitely earned minutes. The physical tools have been there (tho he could bulk up a little more still), and now the game seems a little less overwhelming to him. Playing with the big squad will help accelerate his development.

The starting unit was disjointed and weakened in the middle with Horford just beginning to ramp up. Jrue Holiday didn't make the trip and Hauser didn't play.

While dropping them from long on offense, Pritchard got picked on defensively a bit, but he was put in positions on that end that he wouldn't normally see. The big point negative trio was, oddly, Horford, Brown and White. That result won't happen in the regular season. Tatum looked pretty smooth again, which was nice.

The Celtics big run took place with the insertion of Kornet, and was continued to a lesser degree with Queta in there.

Queta did not even look for a shot, mostly staying on the perimeter on offense and feverishly setting high picks. For that reason he had zero offensive rebounds.

Late in the fourth Davison flashed some heroics that almost won the contest.

Scheierman wisely dialed back, slowed down, showing a bit of poise for the first time as he went into the paint and got fouled twice, instead of hoisting rushed rookie long balls.

Walsh once again was given the primo role of playing as if he was in the rotation. He did not do anything to make you think this experiment is over.

Drew Peterson did not play, but had a surprisingly effective preseason.

I like seeing the Queta picks. As they refine the plays, it will open those lobs for him again. Davison throws those really well, and they have a rapport in Maine but we haven't seen Queta with the regular guards enough to get a sense of how they will approach the picks. Good sign though.

Scheierman is not particularly athletic or quick, but has a decent handle, is a passing threat, looks pretty strong and is likely a good FT shooter. He should be watching a ton of tape of Pierce and other players who leveraged their skills into getting in the lane and drawing fouls. It could be one of his main calling cards since he seems OK with the contact. Well, he NEEDS to be Ok with the contact.
