Coby White wants money similar to what Giddey got, 25m per year.
Will the Bulls give him that?

If not then Vucevic and Coby White for Simons, Hauser, and draft picks.

Both Vucevic and Coby are expiring.

Joe just needs to play Boucher and Mynot more and Sam Hauser less.

Whether we like it or not, size matters in basketball.

Cs got clobbered on the boards because the Pistons were big and athletic.

The Cs were small and unathletic.

Guys like Hugo, Mynot, and Boucher deserve more minutes.

I agree with the PT ideas, that’s why I wanted Simons gone (to have wing minutes) and would have kept Kornet and flipped Sam. But, no matter how Joe runs guys out there, it’s gonna be a rough sled. Main goal is keep the standard and see who is worth keeping around for when JT is back.

Simons will play better if Joe will let him loose.

Right now Simons is behind PP on the depth chart and Joe trying to make Simons a team player instead of maximizing Simons' scoring ability.

So like what I said in the summer, let's have a look-see then make a move if it doesn't work out.

Right now Joe insisting PP having seniority over Simons means Simons is the odd man out must be traded for a bigger player with a smaller salary.

Joe could feature him more, but he’d basically do what he’s doing now but on slightly more volume. Your look is 3 games? You replied against every trade proposal all summer and after 3 games and “Joe not using him right” you wanna dump him to save money?

Yes, all I wanted was a look-see.

Clearly if Simons were to be playing in crunch time, it will be White, PP, and Simons along with one big and JB.
That's just too small.

It will only get worse when JT returns.

In the summer, I was thinking Simons was ahead of PP on the depth chart.
If that's not the case then might as well trade Simons for a player with a lower salary who can be a contributor off the bench.

Simons is supposed to be a starter with the absence of JT.

This is not on Simons, this is on Joe.
Joe is simply going the seniority route.
There's no way PP is better than Simons.

PP is vetter than simons.

He is a superior passer/playmaker
He is a superior ball handler
He is a superior shooter
He is a superior defender

And he knows the team and is more maleable

Stevens is not doing anything to marginally help this year’s team win. Won’t happen

IDK what's wrong with Brad.
Why not sign Bassey to a Vet minimum?

Because Celtics management is not trying to win. People need to come to terms with this

Which is good looking at next draft.

Grow youth
Rest White and Brown

Hopefully trade Simons for a big.

Apparently the board is divided between the Celtics not trying to win vs. Celtics not trying to lose.

I hope this will not be a case of "nobody said the Celtics were trying to lose" when the Celtics make the playoffs.

The only way the Celtics are in the playoffs is if they buy tickets.

If they don't put Simons at the end of the bench and give his minutes to Minott and Gonzalez, they are going straight to the lottery.

The Cs are showcasing Simons.

End of the bench is not realistic.

Deep down I know you know that.

Yes I do know that. But the showcasing isn't working. Every team with a video coordinator knows what a millstone Simons is. Other teams hunt him unmercifully for easy baskets as soon as he steps on the floor. Showcasing Simons=tanking.

So please let the team shills stop saying that winning matters to Stevens ands Mazulla. It doesn't. I hope they have their eyes on a couple of frontcourt studs in the upcoming draft.

Like I said, 20 games.

Showcasing Simons

There is not a team in the NBA that is going to take Simons making almost $30 million without Brad Stevens taking garbage back and Brad Stevens won't do that. Simons is a Celtics for the year.

I'm fine with keeping him. Just put him at the end of the bench and wait for his deal to expire. Then wish him the best. He wouldn't be the first NBA player to earn millions for doing nothing.

Simons is going to get traded and when that happens, I will be 2 for 2 after I said Simons will end up playing for the Cs on opening night then gets traded during the season.

Once again there's lots of noise regarding Simons, but remember how quiet this board was when it was clear Simons was not getting traded before the season started?

Simons is a Celtic because Brad Stevens couldn't trade him, he couldn't find a buyer

He's not going to find a buyer after showcasing him either. He's just showing the league how bad Simons really is. He has value as an expiring contract, but that's about it.

Value of being an expiring implies the Celtics are willing to take longer term money back in a trade. I don't believe Brad Stevens wants to do that.

That's another plus.

I'm sure Houston would prefer Simons over Sheppard right now.

And if you're Houston, KD is 37 years old, so it's a win now situation and Simons being an expiring gives you cap relief at the end of the season.
