Boston Celtics get :Kevin love

Minnesota timbervolves get :bass, lee, bogans and a first round pick

I think Minny would require a young 4 that might have a chance to fill one of Loves shoes and a pick plus expiring filler. So if they were dealing with the Cs, maybe Hump, Bogans, Sully and a 2014 first, would be enough

Minnesota definitely does this deal. Bass, Lee, and Bogans (if you use his career numbers) combine for 23 points and 11 rebounds per game which is almost as good as Kevin Love's numbers plus they get our first round pick. It's a fair deal.

If Love becomes available, I wouldn't be surprised if he's dealt to the Clippers for Blake Griffin.

Boston would need to send Sullinger, Green & picks to even be considered...

I'm not trading Rondo for anyone. Unless it's like a legit superstar. I don't see the need to trade him. He's gonna miss 1/3 of the year & we're gonna be .500 tops with him anyways.

BUT to me a Rondo Green Sully top 5 pick & if we can flip Bass (11mil in cap), or both (16mil in cap) we can sign a stud next summer add that top 5 pick. 1 a big 1 a shooting guard & I think we're legit again.

I'm all for the keeping Rondo train.
I think it is official that Green is only acceptable as long term 3 if Ainge has a stud go to scorer elsewhere. Green is nothing beyond a 3rd or 4th option.

Nets are probably getting desperate

Post#1091 » by Florida celtic » Mon Dec 23, 2013 7:38 pm

Trade idea:

Rudy Gay to Nets
Pierce to Celtics
Wallace to Kings

Sure. This drives the Nets luxury tax WAY up but since its all Russian oil money, I doubt anyone cares.

This trade also helps Kings tank as they have next-to-zero chance in the FEARSOME West.

I agree with the title, just not the trade idea.

None of the players involved in that trade can be trade back to their original team this year.

Pierce can only sign with the Celtics on July 1st 2014.

I also think that will happen, as a free agent, KG retires in Brooklyn.

I'd really like to trade some of our longer deals (Bass/Lee/Wallace) in some way and get Brook Lopez back. Helps the tank a little bit this year (and maybe next) and when the team may be closer to contending Lopez hopefully would be back to 100%. I'm sure neither the Celtics or Nets would be interested in though

Did this trade just say the Kings are going to trade Rudy Gay for Gerald Wallace? The same Rudy Gay they just traded for?

C'mon man!

No offense to this poster more than anyone else, but I'd love to see RealGM add a 'foul' or 'technical foul' button next to the 'And1'..

I agree or maybe just a minus one ( so it would take 1 away from your and 1s) :)

It will be interesting to see what happens with Crawford. I like him as a player but surely if we are offered a 1st rounder we have to consider it?

Do we really intend to extend him? I guess it all depends on whether he would take on that 6th man role. He would be a quality Jamal Crawford type player off the bench. Can handle the ball, assist and shoot.
