Some great talents in that frontcourt but that is just terrible roster construction as is. Badly need to move Okafor for some real shooting/passing on the perimeter.

They don't need to do this if they want to tank 1 more year....

Honestly a front court that doesn't make sense is a nice way to tank. Given how good Cleveland/GSW are right now, I see little reason for Philly to make a short term move at this point.

If they could get a decent amount for Okafor like an unprotect first from a team really expected to be terrible, I would probably move him but if teams are not valuing him highly, probably better off seeing how Embiid does this year and if he is healthy.

At some point, the 76ers need to win but given the NBA landscape and the negative posution they were in when they started their rebuild, one more year of tanking makes sense. Good chance for another top 1-3 pick in a strong then 2016 draft.

76ers can still keep NN since he is a RFA after next season.

Sixers have stopped tanking once Hinkie was out. They won't be in tank mode again.

they will probably still be bad, but they won't be bad on purpose. Like the nets.

I predict that the Sixers will be vastly improved next year with the additions of Simmons, Saric and Sergio Rodriguez. Plus they have Luwawu, Korkmaz and Wood, all of whom could become pat of the rotation.

I'm not convinced they would have tanked again with Hinkie in the fold--- he got his #1 pick, his mission was accomplished.

The Stern/Silver Warmachine didn't want Hinkie to be able to come out looking pretty for exploiting their broken system (that is in dire need of change). With the figurehead gone, the new storyline will now be that the 76ers were "saved" from the clutches of Sam Hinkie.. when in reality, any (or at least most) of their success going forward will be because of Hinkie's "process" and the assets he loaded them with.

Victors write the history books, or whatever that quote is. Bryan Colangelo will prob get another executive of the year award thanks to Hinkie (and the backroom shadiness of the Commissioner) and we will all need to be collectively embarrassed for this league once again.

Wow, Judas is such a bitch. Hunting for whose nuts to swing from, GSW or Lebron--- what an attention whore.

Don't get a mic anywhere near this dude, pretty sure he's still looking for someone to whine about Ainge to.

Ray could probably get more money from the Cavs. I think Golden State can only offer vet's minimum. Not sure on Cleveland's cap room.

Nene 1 year $2.9 Mil... I like that as either our starting 5 with Horford at the 4 or even bench depth for injury insurance of Horford and Amir....

Nene's gone to the Rockets, per Woj. As you predicted for 1/$2.9

Looks like Amir's coming back for 12, even though I'd much rather have Nene for 3.

Nene 1 year 2.9 mil to Houston. How does that happen given all the other contracts being given out of late. I mean, maybe I am alone, but I think he is easily worth more than Mozgov.

Nene sucks. He's always been a guy overrated here.

His body type makes you think he's a good defender/strong but really he's a big soft cloud.

Amare got in his head. That's all I ever needed to see.

Oops, my original post accidentally omitted "to the rockets." I was merely pointing out how cheaply he signed and saying I wouldve gladly taken him on the C's for that contract. It wasn't a contract prediction on my part. If I would've predicted I would have said an Amir type deal for $8 to $10 per year... hence why I like that value at $2.9 mil.

Your lucky to get anybody to sign for that, let alone Nene.

Regarding Durant and OKC's offense, exactly, what I wrote 10 times:

Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

Mozgod is younger, that's probably the reason and a slightly better defender, also Nene's agent's probably not that good(Anderson 4-80, Parsons 4-94?)

If you get past the anecdotes and the unfulfilled potential, he's pretty good. Athletic, good passer, guards both big spots, good team defender, good finisher and roll man. Decent range on his J too.

Just can't stay healthy.
