He was like an honorary sixth Celtics player in the playoffs. I couldn’t believe Nurse kept him out there so much.

Agreed. But every warm body they lose, so much the better. You got to play someone, and they're running out of tall people.

Lowry about to be 35.
Siakam's not that guy.

They should not be a thorn in our sides much longer.

With Ibaka leaving, they can use the full MLE now. They can sign Baynes with that easily

That’s too messy. I’d rather go with bogs on both ends, and do that offense/defense sub with Smart and Kemba.

Yeah, that makes more sense. My first thought was keep Kemba in, but I think he realizes that teams are going to go at him every time in the clutch. Seems odd that Bogdan could be the one not on the defense/offense turnstile as he is not a great defender, but Smart takes tougher assignment and Bogdan at least has the height.

Exactly! Teams would continue to target Kemba, and since we didn’t get a rim protector, those weakness by Kemba defensively would continue to get exposed.

I'm hoping TImelord will be ready to take on that end of game assignment for certain situations this year. He's already one of the best rim protectors in the league, he just need to get better at almost everything else.

I really hope they sign Gasol. That would be a positive for us. That guy is washed already.

The draft where Ainge took Jaylen was pretty ugly. I'm surprised you thought this was embarrassing though? Fandom is just another word for fanatical and the posters on this board fill that definition to a tee. It's the timing of everything on top of each other and just the tension building. Then watching the trades go down on Tuesday, nothing happens. The rumors are swirling and the Celtics are involved in every one of them. Then the draft comes and again the Celtics stand pat after all the rumors again. Finally, free agency hits and again rumors are swirling and they are extremely in depth. Gordon was a polarizing player here the entire time, it's no wonder when he signed and Ainge lost the opportunity to get something back it was a huge release - and not necessarily a positive one. Regardless, Celtics fans are among the most passionate of any fan base. I'm so bad it's gotten to the point where I DVR the games and can only really watch the wins - admittedly two young kids don't help but the point is the same. If you add a global pandemic on top of it I would have been surprised if there wasn't a meltdown of epic proportions. Good on you guys for keeping the faith, but cut some slack to the more reactionary members of the posters - me included.

Very good point about the pandemic, and frankly that hasn't been the only thing keeping people on their nerves lately. But yes, I thought today was embarrassing. Ninety percent of those putting on today's show are the same people who ruin the game threads with 'this game is over' when the C's are losing by single digits and there's still 18 minutes to go. So this was no surprise and yet the level of the commentary was unbearable to me. I wanted to chat with my Celtics brethren but the noise was too much. I'm glad that the latest news has quieted things down.

Welcome back, by the way.

If you can figure out a way to eliminate those posters who doom and gloom every game thread I might even show up for those. Thanks, I appreciate the warm reception.
We don't need to eliminate people with other opinions, we just need them to change the way they express their feelings. Every time we go down 8 we don't need to fire the coach and trade the entire lineup on the floor. I. Fact I feel of the three sports I watch basketball coaches effect the individual games the least.

My 3-way fake trade where he goes to LAC and we get Beverley would be cool with me.

That all depends on Stevens. If he keeps load managing Timelord, then how would he even develop that confidence and chemistry. He looked lost out there sometimes. That happens if you don’t get consistent minutes. Plus i want to see Tacko get some regular minutes seriously. If Vogel could get Hibbert be a useful starter, why not Tacko? He is more athletic and move better laterally than Hibbert. He could be useful against some matchups.

What if Klutch denied Thompson from going to the Clippers which made him u-turn to Boston and sent Ibaka to the Clips?

Wouldn’t shock me in the slightest.

Nah, he didn't go to the Clips because he's realTristan13 and his number was taken in LA by PG13. We'll have it ready for him here in Boston.

Yes, one more shooter. Bogi is creative with the rock too. He'd look great out there with Jaylen and Jayson.

Got to be careful and not bring in too many mouth to feed though. Part of the reason I wanted Millsap is because he doesn't need the ball to contribute.

Btw how funny would it be if we went after Horford? Lol

I would have been fine with Millsap, but it is apples and oranges. But yeah, as they say, too many apples spoils the... **** bad metaphor. Anyway, Bogdan might want to be The Man somewhere and that would be an issue here, where he'd be 3rd or 4th option as a starter.

Make no mistake, Toronto is not contending next season and for the foreseeable future unless they sign Giannis after next season.

That’s not a knock on them whatsoever, they have great young pieces in Siakam, OG, Powell, FVV is locked up etc but for this coming season, Nope.

lmao the Clippers are **** boned. They let Kawhi take over their entire organization. Trade the entire team for PG and then trade the rest for Westbrook. And then when it doesn't work, I dip.

He better sign in OKC after.

Any Rozier / Hayward / PG13 / Westbrook trades that work?

They don't really have salary for westbrook and would be tight for terry. Don't believe it at all. Just like the serge to nets for 20m. It was impossible to offer that.

Rozier to LAC, Kabengele/Hayward to CHA, Beverley to BOS works salary-wise. $14.6M TPE for Boston. Stays under tax even if Teague is BAE.
