Add KD, Ja, and Butler to the list of injured stars. Though calling that last one a star is a stretch. Heal well, fellas. Injuries suck.

That's why I prefer the Cs not to go too hard in the regular season.

Injuries are piling up.

We don't want this season to be like the 2009 or 2018 season.

Cs entered the 2009 playoffs without KG and the Cs lost Kyrie to an injury a month before the 2018 playoffs.

I think that Injuries have a lot to do with the Pre-Season ramp up. It should be longer, and with more Games.

My observation from watching the Celtics and the NBA since the 1980s, the players have gotten stronger, faster, and bigger.

Larry Bird was 6-9 and 220 pounds.
McHale 225.
Parish 230.

Paul Pierce was around 6-6 to 6-7, but he weighed 230 pounds.

Jaylen Brown is 6-6 to 6-7 and he's claiming he's 240 pounds.

The game and the players have evolved.

Back in the 80s and 90s, very few players above the height of 6-6 would be guards or handling the ball a lot.

Magic Johnson was the lone exception in that era.

Now we're seeing guys 6-10 and above handling the ball a lot.

It's basically physics and science.

The heavier the player, the bigger chance of getting injured, for a number of obvious reasons.

And taller players doing a lot more with the ball will have a higher chance of getting injured because longer limbs are more fragile.

Well it seems like you think this team can win a ship even as higher seed or they could turn it on whenever they feel like it. I don’t believe that. This team hasn’t multiple titles to believe something like that.

It doesn't matter what we believe.

Facts will not change.

If the Celtics enter the playoffs without JT or JB, like in 2021, then obviously winning a championship will most likely not happen.

What I'm saying is if the Celtics pace themselves and just enter the playoffs as a 2nd or 3rd seed, but fully healthy, then that's the ideal.

Having the #1 seed entering the playoffs and having a major injury or multiple injuries will be the worst case scenario.

Take the case of the 2024 Dallas Mavericks.

One year ago, November, 2023, nobody here was talking about Dallas making it to the finals.

But as a #5 seed, the Mavs made it all the way to the Finals without home court advantage in all the rounds of the playoffs.

If you really want the low expectations scenario, Larry Bird and Paul Pierce never won back to back championships.

So what makes you think Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown can do what Bird and Pierce couldn't do?

Let's not forget that the Cs went 16-3 in the playoffs and finals in 2024.

Celts lost 2 at home and only 1 loss on the road.

So clearly that's proof that the Cs can win on the road.

Again, health trumps seeding.

Can't imagine my team struggling against these Nets. Tsk. On your homecourt while they're on the 2nd night of a B2B too. Thought you were juggernauts, Cavs.

I still think we are the best team in the east not saying that we are not but again when you get that first time it becomes even difficult. This team is a lot different though than the one of the big 3. Those guys were a little older. We have a window here to win a couple of more. They should win more than one title in my opinion.

Cavs are likely 15-0 when Celtics face them for the Nov. 19 NBA Cup game at TD Garden. Their next four -- @CHI, @PHI, CHI, CHA.

Yes, Banner 19 and 20, most likely.

But they don't need to win 70 games in the regular season to do that.

Think about it, if the Cs win 64 games, that's 18 losses.
That means on average the Cs lost 3 times every month for 6 months.

Like I said, if you're going to tell me a team in the east will win 70 games this season then the Cs are in danger of not becoming the #1 seed.

Otherwise, this is just a temporary thing where the Cs are not #1 in the east.

If the Cavs are our biggest competition in the East, we're going back to the NBA Finals

That's a good thing.

Cs will make it 15-1.

Hold your horses.

The Celtics struggle against fast guards, like Maxey, Garland, and just recently, Schroder.

So that Garland-Mitchell duo is very dangerous if you're the Cs.

Not saying the Cs won't beat them in a 7-game series, but it will not be easy.

The Celtic defense is vulnerable to speed because of all the switching the Cs are doing.

So the Cavs are legit threat, IMO.
