This franchise has won only one championship in 33 years. Turning into?

Waiving Batum is so dumb. He's an expiring 30m.

You'd think they'd at least make a few calls first...

MIL, MIA, PHI are demonstrably better than the Celtics... Raptors are just as good... So we are the 4th or 5th seed, as things stand at the moment. Fourth or fifth in the East IS the treadmill.

Yawnnnnnnn

You also said the Sixers were best team in East when they signed Horford last year too. In no world are the Heat and Sixers "demonstrably better" lol

I never said that. Stop putting words in my mouth.... I was stunned at the Sixers paying Al that much, and was not the least bit upset at seeing him go. Stop making **** up!

Thing is, they still have to demonstrate it.

I bet we still son Philly. We just swept them without Gordo anyway.

Some of the comments on here are mind blowing. You'd think the Celtics just lost Bird in his prime for nothing. And I'm quite surprised nobody on this board hasn't become an actual GM of an NBA team with all their wonderful insight and ideas. I wonder why that is?

Meh, I would too, it’s just losing all that cap for nothing is beyond frustrating. This team is not going to sniff another max player for at least four years.

I'm opening a nice bottle of Bordeaux to celebrate the non-arrival of Myles Turner and Doug McDermott.

Not the biggest Doc fan, but he is a good coach. And they have made some solid moves so far. I'll take them over us.... And if Brooklyn gets Harden, that's two teams in the division that are better than you (maybe three, depending upon what the Raps do).

millsap and batum would be awesome if this was 2015. they’re over the hill now and aren’t worth bothering with.

U can criticize a gm. Plastic fans are the ones who say they are switching teams if we trade for this one, or leaving if we don’t fire so and so.

So Ainge played the Hayward situation perfectly?

Wtf ? I’m saying u can bash ainge today. If u feel like it- rightfully so. Wtf r u talking ab

Millsap would be a good start. We need some vet help. And he’s got playoff experience. And what about Ibaka!

I'm not against Zeller. We are hurting at center and he is expiring.

Umm why the hell were police officers checking in on Robyn Hayward every day? Does Gordon know about this? Does she have a milkman and a pool boy visiting too?

I don’t think it’s just losing Hayward for me. It’s not doing anything at last years deadline, or at the draft, having to use a first to get off salary. I just don’t think Ainge has done a good job with the roster as of late. You want to compete for a title yet Rob Williams is the senior most player on your bench, not ideal.

If you think the Sixers and Heat are demonstrably better than the Celtics I respectfully question if you even watch the NBA.
