Schroder played pretty well last night.

Re: Last Train to Celticsville Trade Thread
Although ownership's #1 goal is likely ducking the luxury tax, Stevens might have second thoughts on moving Schroder. Preferably, Stevens moves Smart. Can't see lineups with Smart and Rob Williams on the floor working offensively.
Schröder averages 19.7 points in his 20 games started; that number dips to 11.3 in the 15 games he’s come off the bench. Part of that is opportunity as Schröder plays 35.4 minutes as a starter vs. 26.6 minutes off the bench.
But the efficiency differences are startling. Schröder makes 48.3% of his shots and 36.1% of his 3-pointers as a starter. Off the bench, those numbers dip to 35.2% and 30.8% on 3-pointers.

Re: Last Train to Celticsville Trade Thread
Cleveland possibly interested in Schroder per Fischer:
Could easily see a trade of Schroder, Juancho and Nesmith to Cleveland for Lauri Markkanen. Celtics were rumored to be interested in Markkanen over the summer. This seems like a Brad Stevens type of deal.
I personally am not a big fan of Markkanen but it wouldn't surprise me.

Has to be a subsequent deal coming soon. The Hawks were $2.3 million under the luxury tax, prior to the deal. Moving Reddish & Hill saves them about $7 million.

This Atlanta trade seems like a setup for something big for the Hawks.

Re: Last Train to Celticsville Trade Thread
That Reddish trade made very little sense until the 1st round pick news dropped.
I still think it makes little sense, but I'd guess the Hawks are looking for some flexibility in order to swing a few deals.
