George is signing with the Lakers next year. He has made no secret of that.

Yeah that was may bad, meant Zeller instead of Bradley.

And if you build a super-team here and make the Finals, no I truly don't believe George bolts.

I personally wouldn't give up anything for Paul George. He would be leaving in 1 year.

I would not give any firsts or good players to get him, 2nd rounders and backups sure, maybe he changes his mind and decides to stay.

Again, if you trade for George and sign Hayward/Griffin to go with Horford, Thomas and Brad Stevens, why the hell is he going to leave to go play with Lonzo Ball and D'Angelo Russell? I don't buy that for a second. Guy just wants to win. Build a contender here and he'll re-up.
What if LeBron gets worked by either our team with George or the Warriors in Finals and bolts to Lakers. LeBron + George + assets for a dude from LA who gets to live in LA is very tempting. Think it'd be hard for him to leave for a rebuilding team, but what if the Lakers can throw a contender out there?

I think trading for him is worth the risk depending on the assets going out. If we have assurance that Hayward is coming through back channels, I would have either Bradley or Crowder on the table plus the Memphis pick and see where that goes. BKN picks off the table. No combination of core players on the table. I think that's worth the risk since he seems to be close with IT and wants to play with Hayward. Get to the Finals...it would be crazy to see him actually leave at that point.

Paul George has told everyone who would listen he is signing with the Lakers

He's also retweeted things about the Celtics trading for him and has said he wants to play with Hayward and that Thomas is one of his favorite players to watch.

Wanting to go to LA is a fun goal until you realize you can live out the reality of winning championships elsewhere.

Fultz doesn't seem to do well with pressure. He was bricking shots left and right in his philly workout. There's a difference between playing free and in a game situation, against garbage tier players and having a bunch of people staring at you who are about to give up a serious asset for you.

Edit: this might also be part of his free throw issues too.

After a day to think, I get the impression that Tatum is the guy

Little risk of the Lakers taking him (Ball/Jackson), still the offensive player DA is looking for

If they genuinely think he's some kind of team-first Carmelo type and the best player in the draft, then getting the additional asset in the process is just a bonus, plus the additional cap space

I was still sold on Fultz, so it feels like a big gamble, but we'll see... I don't necessarily think it means the godfather trades that came up straight afterwards

I wouldn't break the bank for Butler, but I'd move this additional LA/SAC pick (The LA pick will dive if PG goes there anyway) and parts for PG, I think we'd be competitive enough and have a good enough environment to keep him around long term

There is I think a legit threat of PG bolting to LA if Lebron loses again next season and joins the Lakers, who would be more than willing to waste assets to dump Moz/Deng and clear cap space. BUT if Lebron loses to a PG-led Boston team in the ECF, George isn't leaving. You can even convince him to stay even if we lose but keep it close. Lebron might still leave Cleveland anyway after he loses again to the Warriors.

We all will see what happens but the most any GM should offer Indiana for Paul George is something like Rozier, Zeller and 1 mid first round pick. George is a 1 year rental who will be signing with the Laker in 1 year.

I hope Ainge and the Celtics don't waste their time.

Yeah I mean if this new Celtics Superteam dethrones Lebron, why would George be bolting to play with him? He just became the first non-Lebron led-team to make the Finals in seven years. He's going to leave to go lick his boots? Nahhh

George is not leaving if Boston trades for him. It's just not happening. He isn't leaving a winning team

If it's for LA, he may. The dudes agent has been leaking he wants to go there for a year or two now while they've been compiling the 2nd worst record in the NBA. Seems pretty clear he has a big attachment to LA. If they have anything resembling a contender, only makes it considerably more attractive...

He also shoots a much lower percentage with people guarding him. I'm sure a lot of players are like that but Fultz had a big differential from what Draft Express was saying.

What would your thoughts be on flipping the #3 pick along with salary filler for Love?

Just like the Celtics are definitely drafting Markelle Fultz.

If Lebron leaves for the West, Paul George with the Celtics will be the King of the East the rest of his prime.
