Scouts honor. Nope. I have a search that pulls me all articles on Hayward.

Guilty of Hayward fan. Too cheap and no time for blog. Just a googler

Well, it was a really good story on Gordon, I thought. Thanks for linking it. He really will be the x-factor for us in the playoffs. If things click just right, we could be the team everybody thought we'd be before the season started. That'd be quite something after the mostly disappointing season we've had so far. His play, and the team's play this past week have me pretty hopeful right now.

So basically over the last month and a half, he has been pretty damn good for you guys. It's really about finding more shots for him now.

There’s plenty of shots to be had. He just needs to be more aggressive.. and slow but surely he will be.

Agreed, he still seems to be hesitant out there when it comes to looking for his own shot. But hopefully the consistent improvement on the court will let him start being more aggressive.

Just looked at his splits and its definitely pretty encouraging

Oct: 48 TS%
Nov: 53 TS%
Dec: 51 TS%
Jan: 55 TS%
Feb: 64 TS%
Mar: 68 TS%

It isn't really even an issue of being hesitant if his shot isn't falling he stops shooting period. Over that 5 game stretch where didn't get into double figures he avg 5 shots per game. He is still getting his assists and rebounds so maybe that is going to be part of what happens with this team and we can't read too much into it. If you have 8 guys all capable of leading you in scoring on a given night you want guys to be able to defer and not feel like they have to shoot their way out of it but I think he needs to be a little more greedy he is shooting well enough that he shouldn't be 8th in FGA per 36 on this team.

Hayward has been progressing really well.
Only thing is, I don't think that he should Start for the Playoffs.

I think that he should keep coming off the Bench.
Start next season, after the Trade smoke clears.

I’m back and forth on this, I definitely think if he’s going to start in the playoffs, he should just start from here on out to at least get some momentum built up. All I know is I’m ready to see Mook come off the bench permanently.

Probably correct. I want Baynes in there to start, which then opens up more the option of bringing Brown in if they find they want more O and AB does enough to right the D without keeping MS in there. Having both Hayward and TRo off the bench cuts down on any need to get Smart back to the bench crew -- and the bench crew, even with Morris back, could probably still use Brown's O.

Since 1/1/2019, and removing the game he got concussed 1 minute in, hes averaging 12/4.1/3.4 on 60.4% TS% in about 25.5 MPG. Very happy with his progression.

Hayward has looked more assertive going to the rim, which is nice. He still seems to lack the same first step burst on O and lateral agility on D, but that may not come back this year (or ever).

I don't think starting Hayward will make a difference. The problem is the chucking ball hoggers taking shots away from him. Get rid of them and move Hayward up to a clear cut top 3 guy boom! problem solved.

Bigger thing is having Hayward start to close games.. I dont think he has been out there much less than 3 minutes to go

I don't like it but we've been in a holding pattern all year with this kind of thing. Honestly this season has done nothing to promote growth for Hayward, Brown, Tatum or Rozier. tis shame. They all need a different situation. AND SOON THEY SHALL HAVE    :upset: :upset: ok then

Same here

Another solid game by Hayward. I'm hoping by the start of next season he's himself again.

He’s the only player making an effort to draw fouls & get free throws lol

You’d think Kyrie would be excited at the thought of finally playing with Hayward back at his best & potentially AD.
