It wasn't nearly as bad when we had another PP who could be said to pierce.

True, that PP was a more prominent player, but somehow we've digressed in our maturity :dontknow:

With his stated explanation for the wheelchair incident, he made himself the butt of poop jokes instead.

It's hard not to notice Pritchard's improvement and impact on the Cs. Glad he's getting recognized by national media instead of being fake-traded for Delon Wright on RGM.

One of two bench players in NBA history taking 8 3-pt attempts per game in single season. Both this season.

Malik Beasley, 9.1 3PA/game, 38.2%
Payton Pritchard, 8.3 3PA/game, 41.4%

Great article. The final quote isn't surprising, but it is still awesome:

"My wife, sometimes she'll be talking to me and then she's like, 'Oh my God, you're thinking about basketball right now.' And I really am. My mind's always consumed with it and I'll put everything into it to become what I want to be."
We won it for Al!!!

PP vs. West teams (24.8 mpg)

PP vs. East teams (28.9 mpg)

It's a good thing we won't face a Western Conference team until the Finals.

I've said this repeatedly, the Celtics need a Playoff Scorer off the bench.

Besides PP, no they don't. C's have 5 starters who can score while playing on second units.

Good thing they have the highest scoring bench player in the league this season, then!
They won the title 7 months ago without him really having a huge impact (6.2ppg average in the playoffs) beyond his iconic shots.

If PP can be the highest scoring bench guy in the Playoffs, that's one thing, but if he has a scoring slump, I'd like to see another scorer off the bench.

then I'll trust you've gone to the trade thread and proposed specific ideas of how to upgrade the best roster in the league.
I don't know how to do that, nor do I expect it to happen.
(if the goal is to sign guys currently out of the league like Lonnie and IT, this isn't really interesting)

Anxious to see how he fares in the postseason. After this season it might be time to re-evaluate his future here. It's been a while since I've seen a team really take advantage of him defensively in a game too. This could be our starter next year next to White.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

I kinda hinted at this, sans #s, in a vc thread asking if we should we let him run the show more. Was after a game where the pnr with him and Luke, I believe, was super effective. And it was the 2nd or 3rd game in a stretch where it stood out. Much, much better than his Abe Simpson hat drives of olde.

Obviously the volume numbers pale compared to SGA and Brunson, but I can squint and see a Brunson lite in Payton. Which is something I never thought I’d even think, much less say publicly.
