I thought that at 1st however I'm sure its awareness.

If he was lazy he would not of made the initial effort. It was a impressive block showing great athleticism. He came across the lane block the shot over one of his teammates. Impressive. Great effort to get there and get a hand on it.

You are literally the first person I've seen to call RW3 "slow". I mean bigs are usually the last guy down the court so I'm not sure what you were expecting, like him to be sprinting Rozier speed all over the court? He's a C for god's sake. His defense, shot-blocking, and switching on D show no signs of him being gassed, frankly he looks in better shape than Theis atm..

Lol. S.m.h. The only truth in what you wrote is that centers are slower. Theis is motivated, PICKS HIS FEET UP WHEN RUNNING!.. Theis is recovering from a MAJOR injury. But his hustle, desire is there.

Yeah Williams makes a play, shows talent.. He has no stamina, no energy. It's sad because the same people who berated sully and big baby for conditioning give this kid a pass.

I just don't agree man. I don't see the no stamina or energy thing. Guy is averaging like two blocks, how many altered shots and solid rebounding per game.

Perhaps you don't see it because you are focusing on stats. Not game footage

I don't know whether it is bias or not. Maybe in part left over from the rap on Williams from college. Likely in part reflecting him being a rookie in the preseason -- and not always knowing what is the next best thing for him to be doing.

But I see a young man who is strongly motivated to succeed at this level. I see him flying around with a lot more purpose and energy than a lot of rooks manage at this stage of their careers. For a big man he is all over the place, covering a lot of ground on D especially.

(Oh, and to be clear, I too am responding to what I consider an unwarranted accusation that TheTruth316 has directed towards young Mr. Williams.)

Williams can't play more than a minute without looking like he's gonna pass out. LMAO. Puts no effort into hustling across court. He's not in shape period! When your own mom has to make sure you live near the practice facilities, give me a break. !..

There is simply no comparison to the shape Hayward is in (with a MAJOR fracture) and Williams who can't keep appointments, pick up his feet and RUN.. Not jog like some 300 lb fattie. My gosh, even big baby or sullinger was in better shape!..

Hayward is a Wing. Williams is a Center, with knee problems, and at least 25 lbs heavier.

Stay away from the green koolaid. You probably have dreams of him being the next olujawon.. I pray he gets in shape and can play more than 2 minutes.. We should see Friday lol. No shame on me for calling a spade a spade. It's obvious from actually watching a game, not a highlight tape that he is out of shape.

Hayward is actually healthy at this point. Williams is still under the watchful guidance of the C's trainers, trying to help him deal with his knees. Jeesh!

Theis looks like he is 6 months away from even being back to last year.

Indeed. Yabs is the guy they are reshaping into the BBD/Sully mold.

Lets see how good of shape hes in tonight. How many minutes he plays and how bad Embid abuses him.. Really frustrating thing is Williams will be needed especially if Embid hits his jump shot..

They have said they are bringing him along slowly because of his knees. And Embiid is as formidable center as the league has right now. Not really a definitive test for a 20yo rookie center playing his first regular-season NBA game.

Sure it is.. Let's see how quickly he gets back on defense. Let's see how many minutes he plays lol. Let's stop making injury excuses for lack of motivation..
