Rob has now shot 50% or better in 69 consecutive games. 90 out of his last 91 games.

Re: Robert Williams, aka "Timelord"
He looks like he’s maybe 80-85% on most nights. If he’s just taking it easy now and has another gear for the playoffs, scary times for other teams…

Re: Robert Williams, aka "Timelord"
It's possible that Rob has just taken a page off Al & Blake's old-man's-playbook of pacing oneself in the RS and saving the explosiveness for later in the playoffs. In so doing, he avoids making things worse for his knee and gives himself better odds of extended availability during the POs.
Then again, the sporadic gimpiness & passivity, the limited PT and occasional DNPs attributed to 'injury management,' do suggest that there is real concern over a possible setback that could take Rob out of the lineup for an extended period.

Too bad, but I said it, he's just too brittle. No future with him and that's a damn shame because he's a damn sure super special talent.

IINM, his streak of shooting 50%+ from the field is still active. 70+ games by now.

Had mentioned it previously, Lopez has been killing it this season. He's grossly underrated.
We just better pray Rob doesn't fall apart.

Same thing happened to a lot of big men. Gets injured young, and never gets it right again. Lets see how he does in the playoffs. Better address that in the off season if he can’t stay healthy in the playoffs
I hear ya. I'm in the wait and see camp. Obviously nothing we can do till the offseason - so wait and see what happens rest of reg season and in playoffs. If his durability continues to be bad, then yes, I wouldn't be surprised if Brad makes a move this offseason to trade him.
It's a catch 22, though. Because if his durability continues to be an issue, then no one will want to trade for him - or if they do, we won't get very much value in return..
What I would like to see, iff at all possible, is to address any operations and procedures that he may need.
Like you said, he had 2 in the past year. He should be OK, from that. The fact that he isn't, is the concern.
If ain't one thing, it's another. As Celtics17Pride says, he's (turning into) "Mr. Glass".
Not necessarily interested in Trading him. More so, in addressing Any issues that could be a problem later.

The hammy thing is injured because he ain't right. His body is overcompensating. Like triple7 said that's what injury prone players do because their body is out of balance. Rob has not looked right all season. I am doubtful he has another gear for the playoffs especially after his ham injury.

Pretty much how I feel. There have been times where he’s just looked like an immobile stiff, at least of late. He’s nowhere close to being himself right now. He’s on a fair contract but may be worth seeing what’s available for him long term while you can.

I like Rob.
But team really needs to plan for the future in the front court.

The fact is, Rob is no longer reliable enough to consistently give that lineup what it needs to be great. This is official now in my book: I am submitting a vote of "No Confidence for Rob Williams" in the next election.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

I’ll take the best package JB + Rob can get us if we don’t win the title.

Re: Robert Williams, aka "Timelord"
I had brought it up before that I didn’t see rob as a real long term piece -like the jays. Not because of talent but because I felt he’s such a freak that his game was just too predicated on athleticism and I didn’t trust him to stay healthy.
I’m not ready to bury him just yet but if he were ever to come back and stay healthy through the end of the season and have a great post season run I don’t think it’s the craziest idea to include him in a trade package if the front office decided to. Ideally you’d want him to come back and build up his value but to me it’s just matter of when he’s hurt again….not if.

Having Bill Walton on the Celtics was a very nice thing for one year.
Banned temporarily for, among other sins, being "Extremely Deviant".

I like timelord. But Walton and timelord in same sentence is disrespectful to the healthy Walton of yesteryear.
