You can see he slightly rolled it from the point.

And in some ways it would be better if it wasn't Achilles. He misses the gear and it forces the Celtics hand.

Blow it up.

I’d bet my house it’s his Achilles. You don’t scream in agony from a “slightly rolled” ankle.

That’s entirely dependent on pain tolerance and not the injury itself.

Anthony Davis screams and cries everytime he gets a scratch. And I mean it, literally just a scratch from another player. And yet he’s usually fine and just keeps playing after screaming and whatever.

You may be right that it’s an Achilles injury but I wouldn’t make that judgement based off a player’s screams or reaction to the injury.

Another point, Kobe and Klay tore their Achilles and I think stayed in to hit a FT so everyone thought it probably wasn’t Achilles injuries them yet it was.

The Knicks aren't good. We beat ourselves twice at home
This is the only game they actually won, as only JT played defense

Still what does that say about this group? Literally and we lose our star player to a possible Achilles? Talk about a nightmare. It all started with softzingis’s illness.

This is the same place that has certain pockets that laments the blowing up of the 2007 core because of the untapped potential of G-Money and Big Al.

Welp.
All I can hope is Tatums injury isn’t as serious as it looked.

I expected more than 1 lucky year when this core was assembled. It's over.

We all said the same thing during the Pierce/KG/Allen era....

This core won a title and that can't be diminished.

That group was much older though compared to this group and look around the east. This team shoild have the made the finals but a nightmare scenario now with your star player.

And that doesn’t include giving away Brown. So yeah you’re right about that but blowing up a team that’s always contending and the key pieces are almost all under 30 is very dumb.

It all started with the brand of basketball Brad loves and the players he traded for to fit this style
It got us a ring though so I am not complaining but I think it is time to move away from it

DEN and IND are a fun teams to watch. Celtics are fun only when they play fast and pass a lot which doesn't happen too much

Big difference between 3 guys past their prime although not much and these guys who are still under 30 but are too stupid to play championship ball if the 3 isn't falling.

Ok yea that’s true. But since it was Jayson Tatum, who despite being called soft a lot here is anything but when it comes to his body, I’m gonna say it wasn’t just a slightly rolled ankle. You can complain about Tatum being soft on the court and I have, but when it comes to injuries I don’t think he is at all.

Brown and 1st round picks to Spurs for #2. Rebuild with a good young player until Tatum comes back

Knicks fan coming in peace. Tough break (no pun intended). As a Knicks fan, I would have like to see them put the dagger in with Tatum on the court (and then finish in Boston).

You got a championship with this group but the run may be over. If it's serious (1 year), do you think the Celts are even a playoff team?

No teams GM will help the C’s especially if the injury is major. That 25’ 1st may be valuable if they make big moves to shed salary.

I agree. Tatum doesn't fake injuries. If it's an ankle it's bad.
