There are pretty clear tiers for posters and I think they should get different treatment.

LBF, Cave, BDB, Smitty BFB and probably some others. They have contacts, they've been around for a while, sharp. They have a lot of value. Similarly, RyanLeafing (sp?), 165bows, gant and several others have very good insight and they're thoughtful adults in the room. They might not have friends hearing rumors, but they're to be paid attention to as well.

Posters in this group are worth more than the rest of us. Its just true. If I'm not here, you miss a silly gif or something. If a 165bows isn't here, you miss steady, consistent, solid insight and sleuthing of internet resources. From a simple value analysis, that kind of guy is worth several of me on this message board. That's not kissing ass, you're just stupid if you don't see it.

Then there are posters that are more valuable if they don't post. Like, our lives are improved if they would just not type. Crazy that Pacino even thought for a minute he might be in this group...he's closer to the first. But there are clearly people that continue to post here at the generosity of administrators.

Meatballs is the Kelly Olynyk. Flashes of brilliance, but, imo, execution issues often muddy up the plate.

Yeah, it took me a while to look past the .................. and ?????????????????? and ALL CAPS YELLING and get to a point where I appreciated his posts. And, while I thought during the season he was a Johnny One-Note ("ham & eggers"), he's actually brought a lot of substance since the season ended. He actually did like Ainge's draft when nobody else seemed to, so he's right in pointing out he's not a professional hater.

I disagree with him a lot, but he's a character.

I wish Smitty wouldn't have let him and a few others chase him away. I think everyone has respect and appreciation for Smitty. I understand why he got ticked off, though.

Bingo, especially when you don't even mention guys like truth and parliament who do a fantastic job with the game threads and victory cigar polls. Tiers of posters is straight nonsense and frankly the more activity on the board the better off it is. The old ESPN boards had its fair share of knuckleheads but there were dozens of quality posters there, many of which came here.

Well said, and kudos to our mods. The best comparison I can think for this forum is a massive dormitory floor. We're all brothers on the same floor, and while some of the residents get tatered and genuinely humorous, others get obnoxious and aggressive. In the end, we wake up the same each morning, walk around the vomit near the urinals, and take a leak, ready to start a new day.
