It didn't go unnoticed that Danny and Stevens left Kyrie hanging out to dry in the media. Danny was asleep at the wheel and Stevens was clueless on anything that doesn't involve x's and o's per usual.

This is the guy that left LeBron and a chance at a guaranteed finals appearances. Why would he stay here? He wasn't happy here and he won' be happy in Brooklyn.

At this point Ainge needs to stop looking at AD and figure out how to rebuild this team.

I am not a fan of trading for a rental player. Giving up the farm. I don’t think ainge will be here in 3 years.

AD > Kyrie 77.000 times out of 77.0000

Without Kyrie Irving walk away from the AD talks. Celtics are not winning anything without another star player next to Kyrie.

It makes no sense to trade for anthony davis without having a star player in place or acquiring one.

This is all wrong.
Rich Paul is getting AD here with Hayward, Tatum, Horford and KI will stay.

Kyrie used Nets as Leverage to get a discount from new Agency, then will sign SuperMax here. Imagine how much $$ that will be for him.

The threat of AD leaving saves us Tatum or if Tatum goes it will be without Brown or Smart.

Stop losing faith in this, all you have to do is choose to see it this way. Keep your heads high, it will all take form soon enough.

Griffin is not an idiot. Kuzma is not the holdup. There is no holdup. That pile of assets from the Lakers is a big pile of poop.

I'm happy we're finally agreeing on this.

Statistically, Hayward, who was coming off a 2nd surgery and was miscast/under-utilized all season, performed better than any of the Lakers young guys. Not speaking raw numbers. So I don't know how any smart GM can find them appealing if their goal is to win. They stunk before Lebron got there. They still stunk or were worse with Lebron.

I'll take Smart and Brown all day.

All depends on what the package is. You're spiraling, relax lol. If you can get a top 5 player for a reasonable package, you do it every time.

Rich Paul may not be the enemy at all. He may not be working for LBJ...he is working to get Davis here without decimating our youth. This is awesome, not gloom and doom.

Kyrie brought this on himself when he committed to staying before the season started. Danny and Brad always deflected the blame from him. NY media will tear him apart if he pulled off the same BS he did here.

To be honest, the very first hint that something about the team began bothering Kyrie was when he made comments about his role. I really think Kyrie planned on coming here to be the clear cut scorer, but then worried when he saw all the mediocre shooters on the team, and guys out for themselves, putting up just as many shots as him, or on some nights more. Then, coach did nothing to remedy that.

I really do think Stevens coaching style will have been a factor if Kyrie walks.

False. While Brad could have done a better job at policing the locker room, the premise that he left Ky out to dry is false. He took the blame several times this season.

As long as Danny doesnt lose Irving for nothing then I'm fine either way on what happens.

I'm not saying trade for Davis at all cost, just zero interest in taking steps back and not forward at this point in the "rebuild"
At this point in time trading for Irving appears to have been massive step backwards.

Had a 2-year deal. Traded away really nothing for him.

Irving didn’t like it here. No idea how u don’t like modern day Boston, but lord, I guess Brooklyn is what he wants.

I am gonna say this now, Irving will get that team to 43 wins and seventh seed. They massively overachieved this past season .

Of course, Kyrie will skip BOS games for the forseeable future.

Is kyrie a star player? Two years in Boston and I didn't see any star player named kyrie

That’s absurd. IT scored a gazillion points in a Stevens system, and it wasn’t just because he was the only plus offensive player on the team. Stevens encourages the best shot every time. If that’s Kyrie, it’s Kyrie. But he actually was not a great volume scorer here - he took a lot of bad midrange contested jumpers, and he had to work a lot harder than some top scorers to get free. If he could have scored 25 or 30 per game on high efficiency, everyone would have encouraged this.

This notion the Celtics can’t win without Kyrie Irving is nothing short of ridiculous. Celtics couldn’t win with Kyrie Irving.

There are plenty of fish in the sea. Let the off-season play out.
