For those that point to a lack of cap space as a reason why we don't have a starting center, I say that that is a failure of planning.
If signing Kemba means we can't afford a starting center and we have no other means to get a starting center through trade, then the planning around the Kemba signing is insufficient.

Yea I'm with ya but also our only big guy walked out on us.
Theres some reason for concern but given free agency hasn't even started, even I will hold off on criticism of what hasnt happened yet.

I suspect Indiana would love to have state legend, Romeo Langford, but am not sure what else is needed to get either Sabonis or Turner. One of guys should be on the trade block...
But Danny want wingy.

I was a shavlik truther and was sad at how few minutes he got on that team. Plus, he was WAY more likeable once he grew his hair out and lost that look he repped at Duke.

Free agency hasnt even started. We’ll get a starting caliber center. Chill.

Let's not forget Brad won 48 games with Amir Johnson as the starting C and less than half of our current talent at the 1-3 positions. I think something like Theis, Williams and Kanter/Ed Davis/Robin Lopez would be very solid to start off. This is a PG-SF league right now and we have plenty of that.
Don't sleep on Boston's expectations of Robert Williams either. If dude can stay on the floor for 20mpg this year he will gobble up a lot of rebounds and block a lot of shots.

What’s the market for Favors if he shakes free? Team option @16.9m with 7/6 exrcise date. Utah would have cap so they could decide to find replacements for Crowder and Korver with a cheap backup 5 instead.
Not many teams with cap looking for a starting level center, particularly if capela is moved to one. Dallas, Sac?
Favors looked fully recovered last year, brings a lot of what capela does but can actually do some things offensively.
Little sign and trade combo w/ Baynes deal anyone?
Bos: Kemba, Favors
Cha: Rozier @$12m
???: Horford
Pho: Baynes
Uta: pick

Or can we at least rename the Red Sox stadium to the El Clappo Park in his honor? Will that be enough to lure him back?
Not particularly interested, but my friend keeps bugging me about him.
C's can max him out to whatever crazy salary they want to next year Bird Rights remain.
Okay, looked it up. It seems we're limited to 190% of his previous salary (if below average), if I'm reading this correctly.: http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q37
He can sign one-year deals until he retires? Probably still won't be able to recoup his losses had he signed a big contract this offseason.
2020-21 $9.044M
I'm fairly sure we'd lose his Bird Rights when we renounce him to clear cap space for Kemba. Then we'd be limited to early bird rights (130%) since bird rights take two years if I remember correctly.

Has Ainge been sweating Houston for a better deal? The old, ‘sure were interested, oh but not for that price, what’s that? times running out and you really want Butler? Sure, give us Capela for a Yabusele and 2nd rounder, done.’
I think he's interested for sure but I just don't see it. All aboard the Kanter train!!!
My wife is quite the Turkophile. (Lived in the country for a while, and has been watching a lot of Turkish TV over the past decade.) So she'd be interested in the team having a Turk.
One thing with Kanter is, can he play in Canada especially with his international status in question?
