I wanted depth, I’m not complaining, love the willingness to spend.. I just think they’re going to make another big trade..

You sure? Brogdon is making $22.6 million next season, and Nesmith/Theis combined only make $12.5 million. Didn't we have to use our TPE for this trade?

No, we added filler in Morgan, Stauskas and Fitts. TPE is still available

Even adding in those 3 guys doesn't make the salaries match. Still $4-$5 million short.

Don't need to match, just be 125% + 100k (I believe that's still the math)

Cs confident with their medical team after being the healthiest team last season. Getting Rob and Al to the finish line was nothing short of a miracle. Romeo Langford was an anomaly.

Brad has now been on the job for about 13 months.

If you look at how many trades Brad has made during his first 13 months and compare that to the number of trades Danny made during his last 13 months on the job, it's probably like 15 for brad to like 2 for danny.

So yeah, you might have a point :)

Go Brad!

Poor some out for BostonCouchGM

I actually expect him to still be part of a slightly longer rotation. Our guys were running on fumes at the end of the playoffs.

Smart and R Williams have 4 years left on their deals
Tatum, Brogdon and White have 3 years left (not including Tatum's player option)
Brown has 2 years left
G Williams will be an RFA next year which gives BOS a leg up on keeping him (very real chance rookie extension comes too, IMO)
Gallo is reportedly going to sign a 2 year MLE deal with player option on the second year
Horford only has 1 year left, but they'll have bird rights after and at his age you'd think his next deal will be pretty low

Very real chance BOS keeps a very strong 9 man rotation together for at least the next two seasons.

or a trade for KD....or maybe smart/white is included in the trade for KD....

I assume that Indiana traded Brogdon to make Haliburton their PG of the future? Otherwise, this trade makes no sense. Even then, it makes very little sense for them.

Brad yeeted Theis right on off the roster after he didn’t set a single signature screen for Tatum

Another plus 2 way player added to roster …. That was my goal for this off season. Adding a 3 pt shooting PF was my second hope. Brad hasn’t even used TPE yet……probably won’t now but here’s to hoping.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Sign Grant to a five year 13M per deal and let’s roll.

I would have hated trading Grant for Brogdon. The fact Philly just paid an ancient PJ Tucker a 3 year deal is proof those glue guy big men are tough to find.

Brogdon deserves more than 26 minutes, you’re paying him and White a lot of money for those mpg..

Not if you want him healthy in May and June.

Gonna sound like I hate Theis (really, I don't), but very relieved they sent him out and probably at net neutral value.

Reports are they’re waiting for Gallinari — who is still under contract with SAS for another week or so — to decide between their offer and Chicago’s.

You can’t spend money without someone agreeing to sign with you.

Not to be rude but they should not waste time on one player. If the owners given the okay to spend .. they should spend. Players are being available left and right.

Imagine gallinari signs somewhere else.. that’s a lot of time lost and players. I’m just pissed they need upgrade their bench…

Aron Baynes on his way to recovery and an NBA comeback. We can always sign him.

He can suck Brogdon’s ****! Slip again in the washroom..
