Yeah I had to re-watch as well. It’s a bit alarming how poor my recollection has become…

Main thing I use YouTube for these days is recap videos of shows I've watched so my old ass can remember what happened.

I watched a stand up comedy thing from the 90s the other day. One guy's set was about how lame the internet is and how his friend is an idiot for telling him it's the future. Audience laughed and agreed.

I thought you mentioned that a while back. If you haven't yet already seen it, "1883" was equally great by Taylor Sheridan who also did "Hell or High Water" which is really good.

Wasn't sure about that one but I'll put it on my list. I watch Lioness and I loved Hell or High Water. Haven't seen it but I did see someone post a clip where this Native American girl beats the **** out of some nun in a school for trying here. That was kinda satisfying.

I’ve finally decided to give Game of Thrones another go. I’m almost at the end of the first season. I read all the books before the tv show started, well at least the first four books, but really didn’t like the first season when it came out so didn’t keep watching. Was vastly different from what my minds eye created.

But I’ve basically given up hope Winds of Winter is ever going to come out, and it’s been so long since I read the books that I thought it was probably time.

I’m certainly enjoying the first season more the second time around, and lots of people have told me it gets a a lot better from the second season on.

I just saw a commercial for a show with Tim Allen and I frowned, I had to search my memory bank for why I don’t like Tim… then it hit me.

Back in the day long long ago Tim Allen won a nickelodeon blimp award that should have gone to Whitney Houston! I don’t remember what it was for, but I do tend to hold grudges… I usually don’t remember them but when I do, oooh watch out!

He is also remarkably lame and unfunny…in my opinion anyway.

Oh, you will love it. Even my wife loved it, but she loves most things I like. She's a Philly girl who loves to see a good ass kicking from time to time, haha. Other good ones that new seasons are coming out are White Lotus, You, and Yellowjackets. All really messed up, but good.

It gets a lot better...then it gets much much worse. I don't even think the last two seasons are worth watching, but it's hard to just stop early.

I said this on the internet a few years ago and got eggs thrown at me haha, but I am one of the few people who thought the ending was fine. I did think the whole final season felt rushed and went by too fast, but I was cool with what actually happened. I didn't get into the show until the last couple seasons and had to catch up, and I have never read the books so maybe that's part of it. Or maybe I'm just weird or something. I think House of the Dragons is really good too fwiw.

Equinox on Netflix. Danish show from a few years ago but I missed it at the time. It is weird as hell, but well-made, mysterious and very absorbing. A bunch of kids disappear, creepy supernatural elements etc. Worth a watch.

Sounds like some figure skaters from Boston were on the plane that collided with the helicopter, and no survivors are expected. Very sad.

Damn. These kind of tragic events make me really appreciate the good fortune I've had in my life and at the same time wonder if this is the day I should just stay home.

Only watched the 1st episode but Paradise on Hulu seems like it's going to be really good and interesting. It starts out with a former President getting murdered and his primary security guy trying to figure out what happened, and it's good and well made from the start. But then by the end of ep 1 you realize it's a much bigger and more unique story than just that. I'm trying not to spoil anything but I'm really into it.

Season 1 suffers from HBO needing to overplay sex scenes which are cringeworthy TBH. After season 1 they find a better balance and the show gets really good. The casting of the interesting and best characters is superb. I loved the first 3 books and the show is as good and even better at times - especially the Danaerys story line. The extra scenes of characters interacting in ways not seen in books is also a treat for nerds like me.

Books 3 and 4 suffer from dividing the story lines but the show keeps mingling them so seasons 4-6 are actually way more entertaining than the books. Once the TV show gets too far beyond the storyline, however, it falls apart. The witty dialogue disappears, the plot gets ridiculous and the ending falls short.

“The Haunting of Bly” is pretty crazy and Night Agent” is insane. Both on Netflix.

I liked both of those. I'm pretty sure you meant The Haunting of Bly Manor. Random fact of the day, I know someone that just missed out on the role of Flora Wingrave (the daughter). Did you try this yet?

I enjoyed it as much as the Night Agent. Season two was really short unless it's releasing more episodes later.

Yes I did haha. Flora is splendid. I have not seen “The Recruit”, but I will definitely check it out.

I've finished watching Season 2 now, which definitely did a good job of building the story lines out from Season 1 (I enjoyed Season 2 quite a lot). I though they did a really good job with the Theon story line, and why he did the things he did. Some big ticket stuff coming up in Season 3 as well (I assume), such as the Red and Purple Weddings.

I really enjoyed all five of the books, and the depth the divided story lines added I actually enjoyed, though it was a little frustrating at times as there was not enough progress of some story lines because he kept building more and more layers. The problem is the sixth and seventh books may never come out to stitch it all together in some cohesive sort of way. The TV show obviously had the benefit of being able to trim a bunch of detail and plot lines out, though I am aware of the massive back lash against the show for the last two seasons and how they ended it.

Some of the greatest moments of the series occur in seasons 6 and 7. One of the greatest involves one of the easiest to overlook characters and if it weren’t for the show I would never have guessed that it would happen. Even as I noticed the show losing its edge, I still couldn’t wait to see every episode right up until the finale.
