Common misconception. He simply can't be sent out in a trade that aggregates his salary with another Celtic.
He
can be:
- Sent out himself in a 1-for-2 (or more).
- Sent out in a larger trade where no aggregation occurs (i.e. where the trade can be interpreted as separate parallel trades: Player A @3mil and Player B @4mil for Player C @3mil and Player D @4mil). (Mentioned it before, but this is one of the areas where the ESPN trade machine fails.)
