first of all, no. Just no. The Celtics aren't trading Jaylen Brown in any deal for a Philly big. Not happening. Boston is all-in on Jaylen Brown at this point. Would they have traded him for Russell Westbrook with an extension? Yes. But not for Nerlens Noel. Even if Noel was signed into a long-term deal.
Here's why a deal hasn't occurred yet between Philly and Boston. Philly wants a Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart or maybe even an Avery Bradley in a deal. Ainge is offering packages centered around Rozier/Young/Mickey. He just isn't going to give up more. And I can tell you with certainty that Ainge will enter into the season with the roster as is. He wants to make a deal and get better, but he isnt going to budge.
