Agree..right now brk 17 is a super strong chip to have, but you have to add to that. Maybe bradley to Minny in a 3 way for their loterry protected 17, going to bulls.

Maybe both brk picks plus fillers could be enough.

Going by the past, the Bulls will most likely want Crowder. The Bulls' ownership is tight and will love Crowder's contract given his production. Can also see them wanting Smart, since his contract is more controllable than Bradley. They'll also ask for BKN 2017, and perhaps BKN 2018. Ainge should top 8 protect that 2018 pick.

I was on board with trading for Butler before the draft and still am. Nets 17 pick is off the table unless it is a tier 1 stud though.

No way do they move Wiggins.

I'm not so sure. Some Twolves fans actually think that Wiggins is near or at his ceiling already, while Lavine continues to improve.

Can't afford to be outbid for the next superstar that hits the market. Overpay if we have to. I'd be willing to do Brown, 17 and 18 Brooklyn picks plus salary filler for Butler. Keep the win now pieces (IT, Smart, Crowder, Bradley, Horford). Get your 2nd big guy in FA (Griffin, Noel, Milsap, Ibaka) and you got 1 hell of a 7 man rotation. I don't think it's risky to bank on getting one of 4 guys to sign on with an IT Smart Bradley Crowder Butler Horford core and I think you have a very good chance (~40%) at landing Griffin.

Butler is so much better than Wiggins as a defender and creator that it's stupid, but his and Town's timelines do not match. I'd probably still do it, but I wouldn't feel great.

IT/Bradley/Butler/Crowder/Horford would be a tenacious small ball lineup. Wooooo!!!

I don't see the Wolves doing it. Minny is not a contender with Butler and Wiggins is only 21!! So what are you trying to accomplish here? That's the type of move that gets GM's fired.

And why is that? Levine is a better ball handler and 3 point shooter than Wiggins. Both averaging virtually the same ppg this season.

We'd be about 9 million short of signing Griffin there. Would have to give up Bradley to keep the max slot. Could be workable money wise, but the ages there would keep me up at night and none of these guys are KG. Would also only have Smart left of the high upside crew.

The Bulls are like Atlanta. They won't be looking to tank, so most likely have to give up 1 or 2 "win now" pieces.

I'd disagree. This is the type of move that makes you a definite pretender and possible contender next 7 years.

It only gets a GM fired if Butler's body breaks down and Wiggins turns into what Butler is.

Wait: why are we even mentioning Philadelphia as a potential landing spot for Butler?

Because they have 2 lottery picks this year and have local boy, Okafor as trade bait?

Well, for starters, saying a 21 year old Wiggins is near his ceiling is crazy talk. And secondly, you don't move a 21 year old Wiggins for a soon to be 28 year old player who doesn't put you in a position to contend. You keep Wiggins, Lavine and Towns. Develop Dunn. And draft in the lottery again this year. That team shouldn't be in a rush. Too much potential here to get all Blly Kingish with it. Thibs needs to relax a bit.

Well according to the Bulls board, they'd only trade Butler for Embiid, Phillys pick, and the Lakers pick. From us, they want Bradley, Crowder, both Brooklyn picks, and another first

But why would Philadelphia want Butler? Doesn't suit their timeline/current strategy at all.

Also, for what it's worth, Okafor's value is incredibly low.

Dont understand the love for Griffin over here, i think that the guy will mess up our team chemistry. The spotlights in LA have turned him into a diva. No wonder that CP3 cant stand the fella, he's probably to immature and not acting like a professional.

Man I love Butler, but he doesnt put us over the top. You cant give up youre prime assets for him, hes not enough.

You have to think long term. You have to keep Brown, ZIZIC and Nets 2017. Thats the only path to a dynasty in my opinion.

My best offer that I can come up with is...

1. NETS 2018.
2. Memphis 1st.
3. Avery Bradley.
4. Jae Crowder.
5. Marcus Smart.

and I dont think the Bulls do that.

Is Griffin plus Fultz better than Jimmy Butler.YES.
