We must prepare as a fan base for Lebron prime level calls from the officials when Giannis has the ball...he’s the best or 2nd best player in the league, all of his points come at the basetket and he’s beloved by everyone.

Lol, this is what Raptors fans have said every year for the past 3 years preceding this too.

What year did the Raptors suddenly completely change their playstyle? Go from bottom of the league in rebounding to #1? Go from a below average defense to #1 Defense? Finish with a Historic Net Rating? Finish Top 3 in Both Offense and Defense? Have the league MVP? Completely revamp their entire roster and rotation outside of their Top 3???

I must have missed those seasons with the Raptors.

Last year. Its why Casey won COY. Sorry you missed the 2017-18 season, it was pretty fun.

Ha ha. So true. The Raptors backslid on just about every major team metric this year vs. the league. Oh, well. Still a pretty good team with yes, some new good players.

Do me a favor, everyone— dont chirp back at the Bucks fans on their board or on the GB. Just bookmark posts and relax. Then, after the series, clap back hard. Rub their arrogance in their faces.

Its much more fun, trust me.

Not sure if you just did not read my post or if you did not understand it:

-Who was TOR's MVP candidate last year?
-Casey was a 1st year TOR coach that completely changed their playstyle? Who was their Coach 2 years ago?
-TOR was a Top Rebounding Team? From what I see they were only average
-TOR completely revamped their roster last year? Who were all of their big changes?
-TOR had a Historic Net Rating? From what I see they didnt even have the Best Net Rating in the league last year

The 2 teams are so similar indeed! LOL

When the **** are they announcing the schedule? Such BS that they are making us wait this long. With my luck, game 1 will be exactly when I have Avengers tickets. Smh.

Also - if there is anything positive that we can take out of our mediocre regular season, it's the fact that there isn't much tape on our squad playing well. Might only be 2-3 games all year where the team has played to its potential. Coach Bud is good, but it's going to be tough to gameplan for the Cs when the only tape he has is when the team stinks.

This team enjoys being the underdog. We all saw what happened when the team played Golden State and the whole league thought we were going to get slaughtered in Oakland. Same thing for this series - everyone is anointing Giannis as the new king already. These Celtics will not bend the knee.

I actually like Hayward for it as he is the strongest of all three and his minutes splits tend to complement when Horford is resting, but that role is going to be taxing on whoever gets it.

Beyond that, forget Bledsoe, the C's need an answer for Khris Middleton. He turns into George Gervin when he sees a green uniform for some reason.
This is going to be a great series.I'm going with the Celts in 7.Giannis is going to get his I think the focus is on containing everybody else. Giannis has gotten better at kicking out off of double teams and the Bucks are loaded with 3pt shooters.Good closeouts are a must.Good defense to me is going to win this along with sharing the ball more like game 4 with the Pacers.Perfect.

This. I need to know the time/date.

I'm supposed to get laid twice this weekend, see this Avengers movie/GoT, help curate a film festival, meet Samuel R. Delany and play some pickup with dudes in west.

But I will **** watch the game if I have to piss all of those people off. Priorities. CS UP.

I think Bucks fans have become to hate me like Raptors fans do lol. I still have the Bucks +76000 to win the title so not like I’ll be pissed to cash in on that.

I am feeling pretty good about this matchup, honestly. I think we have more waves of bodies we can throw at Giannis than any team in the league, save maybe Toronto and GSW. He'll still get his, but I don't think he'll eviscerate our entire system the way he does other teams.

I also think the way they run their defense plays to our strengths - they want to funnel everything to Lopez and Giannis and put a lid on the tin. MIL has given up the most 3s in the NBA as part of that strategy. For better or worse, our team is a group of jump shooters and we are one of the best 3 point shooting teams in the league.

Third, our defense, presuming Giannis doesn't blow it up entirely, is well-designed to defend their role players. While they have improved their playmaking around Giannis, for the most part their team is a group of jump shooters who are trying to hit 3s or get layups off action from Giannis. Once again, we have one of the best 3PT defenses in the NBA.

My guess is the schedule won't be finalized until we see what happens with the Bruins tonight/ until we see the Raptors/Sixers series finished up. I bet we have a sched tomorrow.

Yup. We gotta hit our 3s, and it seems like all of our wings shot well in the first round. Gotta hope that continues.

Also, one thing I am slightly concerned about - Kyrie did not shoot so well against the Bucks this season. Let's hope he shoots himself out of that slump, because he is going to be vital in creating open shots for our guys.

MVP candidate: you got me
Casey completely revamped the offense via Nurse, dont know how you missed that
Revamped roster? Ya’ll added **** Brook Lopez and a couple of bench bigs.
Net Rating? They were super elite, with a top 5 ORTG and DRTG which generally begets championship contention.

Fan bases do this every year— they overhype minor additions as an indication that things are fundamentally different. Two things that were actually meaningful changed for the Bucks: they got a competent coach and Giannis developed into the MVP. One of those really matters, the other only kind of does [especially given his history of spectacular failure in the playoffs].

Ya’ll Bucks fans sound like Missandei with the way you continuously tout your accomplishments. Get over yourselves.

I literally peeped at Bucks forum, not a single C's fan there, telling them how we're gonna beat them, or how we beat them last year... I mean they have become very obnoxious...most of them. If they lose I'll troll the **** out of them, probably get banned. And I usually try to stay away from this kind of stuff. I'm not much of a trash talker. And I do understand we are the underdogs.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.
