Boo!
Charlotte guys says M Williams planning on retiring next year so this does make sense for him.

Reminds me of Kelly Oubre.
That said, I don't think he was Ainge's must have there. I think that was Herro but MIA got him.

Like I said, I'm ok letting Marvin Williams go somewhere else. I know the numbers are ok, but I doubt he plays much in MIL.

If Javonte gets cut for a buyout he could be starting SF for Golden State within 24 hrs.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I agree with Smitty. Marvin Williams is not what he was.
I don't think it's Marvin that was Ainge's main hope for a buyout. More likely it's Tristan Thompson, who more fills a need.

Do the Bucks have an open roster spot? If not, who will they cut to accomodate Williams?

Well if it's true he wanted Christian Woods he just dropped 27/12/5 with Drummond gone..

Kemba and him were very tight in Charlotte.

He looked pissed when they told him he signed with Milwaukee.

I wanted Marv but that’s how these things go. Next best player will go to lakers or clips. Let’s hope Romeo and Grant can be consistent contributors.

Re: Buyout Thread: If Celtics get a player in buyout market, who would be cut?
What's the current buyout list?
Marvin Williams would've been a no brainer - a better version of Semi and endorsed by Kemba.
I'm against Tristan Thompson. He is not a better defensive player than Kanter, even if he might be a little more versatile. He'd be a great depth piece, the problem is that he's been programmed to think that he's a good player, and he would probably expect to play meaningful minutes.
Evan Turner is something like a poor man's Gordon Hayward.
I'd be inclined to keep Javonte over Semi - Javonte fills a bigger void IMO by serving as a situational spark plug, and I like his potential to develop into more than that with a little bit more NBA experience. But we have more invested in Semi, so that would be a tough call.

My first thought exactly !! #2 overall out of NC ...DISAPPOINTING is right! Along w Chick****
My second thought was that he probably won't even play a single min for the Bucks who are loaded with shooters and bigs that are shooters. Perfect ho hum end to ho hum career

Can't believe I don't know this already but what happens if rw3 cannot finish the season, could his roster spot be used to sign someone??
