Paskal Siakam fell off quite a bit from the player we saw early in the season. If he doesn't go back to that, Toronto is really short on elite offensive talent. For as good as Van Fleet has been, he is not carrying you offensively in a 2nd round series.
Even without Hayward, the matchups favor Boston more in a series against Toronto than they do against the Sixers IMO.

This was the one to steal for BKN. Raps not at the top of their game today. They're just savvy. Keep finding ways to climb back in and win.

The Nets knew KD was not going to play and I don't think there was anyone that believed that Irving wasn't going to miss most of the season with an injury. Nets plan was to tank this year and I still cannot believe they made the playoffs.

Nets need this one cuz Tor is struggling and specially like shooting 50% from ft. If they lose this it is done in 4

I agree. He really impressed me today. Unfortunately he can't do it all himself.
We won it for Al!!!

Poor Nets. It's Jarrett Allen, Garrett Temple, and no one else playing both ends pretty much. Allen is gassed.

A super athletic guard/wing like Powell that can get to the rim averaging 17ppg and shooting 40% from deep and defend coming from your bench is huge luxury

Don't worry. They have homecourt the next 2.

A lot of thier vets were ass offensively Gasol, Ibaka, Siakam, Lowry...Nets still lose because that is what defence does. Never takes nights off like offense or shooting.

Siakam never fully recaptured what he was doing before the groin injury in December, but the dropoff since the start of the bubble has been crazy. I'm curious what's going on there.

Siakam looked horrible at times in last year's playoffs as well. It's just who he is IMO. While he has become a better player than Jae Crowder, he is like Jae Crowder IMO. His game revolves around staying in high gear at all times and that can take a toll. Come the playoffs, on some level he may be tired or hurt, and even if he isn't tired or hurt, he just doesn't have that extra gear that others have. The intensity rises around him and it neutralizes one of his biggest advantages.

Interesting take! I'm not really sure why he's struggling but that's a possibility

Allen's why the DAJ signing made absolutely no sense. It was the only position they were actually all set at already. But I guess Durant and Irving wanted their friend there too.

Vintage playoff PG13 MIA stinking it up, but doesn’t matter when you have Kawhi and a deep team, you can hide.

I don’t think Nets are going to be nearly as good as everyone thinks they will be next year without their president going to work. Their pieces just don’t fit. Levert or Spencer are not guys you want on the floor getting limited touches. They are not spot up shooters or defenders.

Nah, Raptors have multiple elite defensive wings with length and athleticism that can clamp or target Tatum and Brown in a 7 game playoff setting. Sixers are nowhere near the squad even with Simmons. But Siakam has really been average to down right bad offensively even with Nets having no one that should be able to guard him. He is still getting 19 ppg these last 2 games but he has been 4-13 and 6-14 from the floor and missing easy layups. Still very elite and rangy on the defensive end though. Levert does nothing when they try to get him away from Ananoby with a pick and Siakam switches on to him at the key.

Who thinks Clippers could have easy been down 0-2 after tonight if KP isn’t kicked out early in the 3rd last game?
