Turner doesn’t rebound for sh*t, he makes Lamarcus Aldridge look like Wilt Chamberlain. And he’s a decent perimeter shooter, not an especially good one. His defense is borderline elite, though. Stick him in the corner and open up driving lanes, have him anchor a top 5 defense. Not bad.

What are the alternatives? Gordon walks to Atlanta? Drummond?

The only real downside is that we’d be recreating the pathetic FIBA team with Brown, Tatum, Smart, Kemba and Myles

Smart, McDermott, Wood, and Theis are veterans, though. That would be 10x the bench we had this past season.

Are they? As a Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown would you take their advice to heart? I seriously doubt that.

Well you didn’t mention veterans who could give players advice. I’m looking for veterans who can produce, and those 2 if not anything else, can produce unlike some of the stuff we have been trotting out there. With them you have two guys who can hit 40% from 3. Actual options to pass to on a drive and kick.

I like production, but can they produce in the play offs? A seasoned veteran who can give me 10 solid minutes in the play offs is far more valuable than some 20 minute carrer average minute regular season players.

Wood at the 4, and Turner at the 5, would be amazing for us. Lot’s of flexibility with that lineup. Those two, together with Tatum and Brown, would cover up any weaknesses of Kemba defensively. Plus every guy can create on his own. Make that happen Danny!

No it really wouldn’t. Wood is a 5, all the way, even at his weight.

Nah! Even Nurkic played with Whiteside, Sabonis played with Turner. I’m pretty sure AD is taller than Wood. He could definitely play the 4. Most especially at his weight!
